And yeah, Company of Myself was great.
Ooh Air Pressure. That one was great.

I mean, maybe if I was reading the book anyway, but I wasn't.
the games that come closest to breaking the game barrier were actualy posted by grass, and those weren't that fun.
actualy air pressure was good for the type of game it was.

How ironic, you being the person that gave me the award for "post of the day" for this, and now having it used against you.

Case in point:

Seriously, you have to read the dialogue he gives to get the full fucked up experience.

I adore the Company of myself and E7 was wonderful. I also found a game on Armorgames last week about how you had to help an AI computer put herself back together but I can't for the life of me remember the name. The whole premise though what defines a "human" per-say and I really want to finish it...damn me for not remembering the title.

Oiligarchy
Bad ending was strange, haven't had the boredom or the patience to get the good ending.
This is my return! I haven't been on in a while, but I got my gaming PC working now.

This game fucked with my mind on every level. It's truly absolutely astonishing.

Well, I can't really think of anything specific, but one site that has consistently lead me to these types of games (it's got a lot of what's already here) is Bonte Games. There's also a big selection of puzzlers that definitely challenge your brain but don't really make you think philosophically.
Ooh! And Samarost. Not really as out there as most of these but incredibly well made. I've heard really good things about Machinarium, made by the same people, and I believe that it is more of a mind trip, but I haven't bought it yet.

I actually found that one to be boring. Also, frightfully simple (with one exception: When you were supposed to guess that number, which took a whole lot of trial and error). There was nothing there that really made me think, nor was the conclusion deepening in any way.
It was definitely weird, though. ^_^

You mean "make you think" as in challenging? DEFINITELY the fore-mentioned portal games, and also check out basically any Legend of Zelda game! My personal favorites/recommendations would be the N64 titles, "Ocarina of Time" and "Majora's Mask", and absolutely the latest to date, "Twilight Princess" (on the Wii & Gamecube). Great games, great stories, and both your brain and happiness gland (i probably made that up) will explode because of the vast plethora of awesomeness!

What's worse is you have to play it a second time to understand it, and even then, comprehending what happened will take weeks.

P.S This series, especially in it's later games, is NOT for the squeamish, but it is very delightful...In a haunting sort of way.
