I absolutely love it.
Also, what I actually posted was far less vulgar and amusing than what I'd written first.
And just because you hate a character doesn't mean you can't love hating them.

(Honestly, I think Pokemon sucks. From what I've seen, it's the same thing EVERY episode. Maybe a reboot is necessary?)
And I hate Pikachu (sorry). I have a plushie of it from a carnival, and it looks"EVIL". So it's under my bed.
I also hate Navi.
HEY LISTEN, HEY LISTEN
you get it

The only character I've REALLY despised though is the Seer from Charmed. She screwed up EVERYTHING for like 2 seasons! I liked Cole before she ruined everything!

I have to wonder at your list there, ILB. How in the world did Mustrum Ridcully make it? He has on many occasions been seen to be a fair and even loveable Archchancellor. And what about Willy Wonka? Johnny Depp took the role and made the character into something great. Or how about Edward Scissorhands? How can you hate him? Aside from the obvious, of course.
I don't think it's physically possible for me to hate any Discworld characters... And a little Depp never hurt anyone >>... My sister would murder you if she saw this list, though. :B

Holden Caufield? I think he's just messed up in the head. He's narrating the entire story from a mental hospital post-events, after all.
But yes, he's a dick. He's an entertaining character, but a dick.

Everyone becomes a character when you write about them per se unless you write completely truthful an objective text about them. As soon as someone gets described with an adjective that can be understood as subjective, the text is no longer objective and thus no longer completely factual and hence fiction.
So there we have it, quite a lot of historical figures might actually be just characters.
As someone already brought Jesus up, I believe he existed because of historical proof (and because writing such stories about a person never existed would be silly) but not that the Bible is literally true.
And I think anyone who honestly believes it is has problems.

Where to even begin with him? =/ It's not that he's evil persay, just that he is a weak man, who lets his ideals get the better of his intellect which I find startlingly frustrating. Some of his classic errors include his treatment of a young Tom Riddle.
- Oh I'm sure things will turn out okay, even though it might be a bit of a concern that an eleven year old has severe sadistic qualities, not to mention convoluted back-history &c.
Or perhaps, Harry?
- Whelps. I'll tell him next year. Kindness could never be evil, amirite?
Whilst I understand the whole point of the Albuscentric stuff in the last book is to let us know Albie was a man, and not a walking deusexmachina for the heroes to use at their every whim and wont. That he had flaws. Etc. Is human. Etc. Etc. Yes, I got all that, but in the end, I thought Albus was a weak man, who didn't deserve respect even after his humanity is revealed, disliked and then accepted as part of what made him great. There are plenty of other figures from the same book who show twice the... strength of character that Albus does. Three cheers for Molly Weasley, ultimate mother bear, never failing to look out for her family and all those associated with it. Somebody give a round of applause to Neville, the true Gryffindor, for stepping up to the plate, conquering what must be a lifetime of low-esteem (admittedly, his courses in badassery begin pretty early). Let's give Fleur her credit for being loyal, intelligent and actually pretty sweet, as well as coping with the fact her beloved's family did not think all that much of her. Applause for Sirius and Remus for having the various decency of character to respect Harry's wishes to let Peter go, and some other deeds of strong spirit. Heck, some confetti for Narcissa, who despite anything else, is a darn good mother like Mollywobbles.
Dumbledore could be likened to Voldemort in that he endeavoured to keep his true history secret, and unrelated to who he was; Severus at least made his past part of who he was, etc.
I don't like Dumbledore and cannot coherently explain why. Maybe will edit when I've reread the last book to refresh my argument
He does win points with fighting Gelert and all. But by and large he was a shirking, egotist in his younger life, and an idealistic... well... moral coward in his later life, all whilst claiming the earlier stuff TOTALLY DIDNT HAPPEN HERP!

Seriously, go back and watch old episodes of spongebob. They're funny.
Also, I hate the kid from Catcher in the Rye. I just want to punch his annoying, whiny face.

Also, Dumbledore is gay. in more ways than one.

The two friends/rivals in Pokemon Black/White. Who the hell do they think they are starting a pokemon fight in my room, and then leaving without bothering to try and clean up the giant mess they made? Not friends of mine, nope, I vowed to kill them after that. Screw them. Screw them both.
And finally,

He is a pretentious asshole who can't even be honest to himself. I can't respect someone like that, and he definitely doesn't deserve someone like Amaya. Their personalities just don't go together at all, being Amaya all nice and stuff. He could be better suited to... Jessica? Or nobody really. He needs to learn to be himself.
The being honest part goes for Lucy too, but at least she opened up (a bit too late though). I can see she's trying and she really regrets what she's done so far, so I can't really hate her.

Also the 3 main characters from those old Popeye cartoons
Popeye is an excessively violent man, Bluto is a sadistic rapist, and Olive Oyl is a whore
