You were on e621 or something? It's okay to say, 8-) we all indulge in something from time to time, mon chéré.

I was reading QC, when suddenly a very attractive ad popped up on the top of the site, in the form of a banner.

It promised an awesome webcomic, and the art looked good. Add to that the fact that I really like cats, and in no time I ended up here.

And that's how my life was then shortened by a day (Read it all at once, it was morning when I found it...).
  • #4

Somebody showed me the Sex Ed chapter, it made me lol so hard I just had to read the rest of it. With that chapter, I was hooked.
  • #5

Found out about Taeshi through deviantArt a while ago with her hourly comics, but only got into BCB after seeing ads for it on the Bear Nuts website last year.

Interesante, my dears. I also wanna ask, who do you like, who do you hate, and what different aspects of the characters apply to you. Oh, and where you were when you said ads, or I'm going to assume e621

1) Paulo's developed into a pretty cool character lately, I thought he was just a stereotypical douche at first. I think Daisy's a great character too, just cuz. 2) I really got sick of Yashy, but then, I've never been a fan of comic relief. David is an exception. 3) I think I'm a combination of Abbey, Daisy, and Augustus. I try to be a gentleman, but I have a sarcastic sense of humour that is often taken badly. I strive for perfect grades, which is where Daisy comes in.

I haven't gotten far into the story since I'm starting from the beginning, but I *imitates Kefka* HATE, HATE, HATE!!! *goes back to normal* lawfully good people like Abbey! They are so foolish and will never see the light of and granduer of my magnificent true sublime! I like David, and, even though I get lots of shit for him and I having the same name, he kinda shows a side of me at times, just less... dumb. Augustus... I seen him, and from the looks of it I think that we would be some what friends and/or rivals or enemies. Mike is a nice guy, and Daisy is cool as well. I kinda picture Lucy as Amy Rose and I like how she can kick ass. getting fucked in the ass is hilariously clumsy. The pets seem like a distraction but are kinda nice. Not hate or love for 'em, but there just kinda there, nya. I wish I had someone like Tess around. We could get along greatly... That's all I could think of neow. I need to read more.

I found it while looking for sonic backgrounds on google images. It took me to "that" website.
BCB looked like the safest way out.

You're not mature enough to handle sex and stuff? That's alright, at least your honest and you don't act like a complete ass when it comes to that sort of thing. You seem rather... nice, perhaps? I'm going to take a shower soon, but I'll be back ASAP so we can talk a lil' more. It's rather lonely, being me, so I like to have company or someone to talk to, nya.

i remember i had voted on the TWC and saw the ad (the one where it was Mike looking in the newspaper ads) i laughed and thought that Mike was Leo from VGcats and clicked it. I started reading when it was at the Sandy story arc. I have a habit of reading things aloud and i really loved BCB so i took the things i had WMM and a built-in Microphone and made the Bittersweet Candy Bowl Movie. it was going on for a while with little comments but a number of views. I went to the forums and thought it'd be a good place to advert so i made the thread and i realized just how bad the videos were and what a mess i was causing. Fact was i enjoyed making the videos but i never meant for anything bad to come of it  . soon i took it down after realizing what a stubborn fool i was and made a rage quit that to this day am still haunted by. I still love you guys and kind of dislike some.

in short i'm a white hat bad decisions good intentions.

I was on the icanhascheezburger.com website, and some ad popped up about these cats in love, and the teacher scolded them

I joined the forum about a week afterwards, because I felt the story was good, and I wanted to discuss it, though, my parents and siblings don't like BCB (Mom says I shouldn't read it), so I joined and you know the rest ^_^

It was about 2 weeks after my first topic on the forum came the infamous second topic, the one that gave me my reputation on here.

... Hmm... I see... I think the story starts off kinda "meh" then grows into a really cool thing where sometimes it's predictable but still a good ride. It's like a roller coaster. The ride to the top is meh but the descent is like, "YA-HAW!!!" Or something.

That's cool. In time, this'll be old and the cycle of it's incarnation would be born again, as if it were war and it's manifestations of peace and violonce.

I was reading some other comics and saw and ad for BCB

-context: it was a friday night, supposedly had a test the following monday so I was pullying an "all-nighter". then get this e-mail saying the test would be for the following wednesday. FAIL. couldn't get asleep by then so I started searching for new comics to read, clicking on promising ads, and that's how I got here. I also killed most of the night reading through the whole archive.
by the following morning I was dead tired and slept through most of the day XD

I was reading Precocious and suddenly saw the dating simulator advertisement on the side. So I clicked the link, thinking that this must be some funny gag type comic, which is normally my favourite genre. Turns out it was not.

But what kept you here, ILB?

Originally, the wish to see the page that the advertisement was based off. I was young and stupid. ^_^

Oh, I actually think I would not have stayed if not for that. Plus, I came to the comic around the Another Shoulder arc, and I saw that the comic had developed greatly in terms of art, and (I assumed) story. So I read the whole archive, and got pulled in near the Acapulco storyline but a bit before.

What keeps me here? I have no idea. :smirk:

Have I said before that at first, I wondered about how much Michael had evolved? I thought he and Paulo were the same for some time, or rather, that the Paulo in Another Shoulder was the same person as Michael from the early comic, and that he had just had a very large cosmetic change.

I think I first saw the old BCB ad while browsing TWC. Joined the forums half a year later. Shame really; if I had joined immediately. I would be an official oldbie.
  • #34

I just browsed through one web comic site and accidentally clicked an ad that lead to this and decided to give it a read. I've only read a couple of chapters but the storyline is very interesting, its like a Korean drama
  • #35

Huh, so many different ways. :) Oh well, how we come is how we come, and I wish to enjoy my time here with all of you, so let's make the best of it and have fun! 8-)

I was reading EGS. Repeatedly. The ad for BCB with Abbey and Daisy and the teacher scolding them showed up on the side often. When I saw it I would ignore it; happy couples are boring. Then the ad changed to the dating sim ad and I was highly amused because I love laughing at teenagers angsting (I've been known to say thing to myself like "I'm glad I was never fifteen when I was fifteen" too). I paused but a moment to reflect on the fact that it was an ad for the same comic as that other ad I had ignored so many times before I clicked and started devouring the archives. I almost stopped in the first chapter because there were too many characters introduced too quickly and they confused me, but after that it was all good and addictive.

And then just today I saw that same ad at the side of Awkward Zombie, and it made me happy since I hadn't seen that ad in so long.

And as for the other questions, I only hate a few background characters, such as Katie. Or Alejandro, everybody hates that guy. For everyone else I make sure to keep a neutral enough stance that I can argue on either side of any debate about characters if the mood so takes me. And I see myself in Mike's kind nature (you know, the one he used to have), Paulo's tendency to make inappropriate jokes, and McCain's rationality (and, when I'm on the internet, his bluntness).

There. See? A few simple questions and you now have rather more information about me than I put into the "About Me" section in my profile. Don't pay too much attention, though; I wouldn't want to contaminate people's direct impressions of me too much with my opinions of myself.

*kicks trolls' ass and hacks in* My, people are rather downgrading there security when it comes to websites. I'm not doing anything like stealing stuff, I'm just getting back at someone by destroying there hours of hard work and hurting him emotionally.

I was reading Akward Zombie (a videogame-centic comic by Katie tiedrich) when I saw Lucy off on the side. Well, what caught my eyes wasn't Lucy, it was the option beneath Lucy, "deck her in the face." I took in the cats, the expressions, and my curiosity was piqued, to the point that I actually clicked on the advertisement. Let me make something clear, I NEVER, EVER, EVER, click on ads on webpages. I'm not very trusting, and internet anonymity doesn't help. But this time I did, and I was caught from the moment I started reading page 1.
