My boyfriend. That bastard. :U
  • #201

Ironically, by looking up "Bittersweet Candy". :P
  • #202

That's not irony. Anyway, there's this girl I know that read this webcomic, but i'm not sure if she'll join the forums. If she does, it'll be interesting.

Saw an admin from a community I'm in with a steam profile that had Paulo holding Lucy. I was a sucker for romance back then so I went to go check it out and read it obsessively from there.
  • #204

I saw and advertizement for this a while ago and one day decided to read a bit after the first chapter i stayed up until 5 in the morning to catch up.
  • #205

I found a banner somewhere, probably around the comic "the noob", and I had a glance at the first chapter (it had not been remade yed) then I saved the link in the favourites and there it staid in the dust for more than one year. Recently I decided to do some cleanings in the bookmarks and found it again. It was second-sight love I guess.

My friend and I were sharing comics (Mokepon and the like) and he brought me here to read the "sex ed" part which he found hilarious. He stopped reading this shortly thereafter but I've been hooked ever since XD

I can't really remember since I got into this comic last December. But I vaguely remember clicking on an ad for it on a different site. Quite possibly Questionable Content.
  • #212

I see this link on Las Lindas and I finally decided to click it...

...and I'm glad I did.
  • #213

Well, since you gave Taeshi a stroke, and everyone else is too busy smirking at you, I might as well help you out.

BCB isn't a furry comic and was never intended to be considered part of that fandom. Please refrain from calling it as such ever again.

OT: One of my friends from DeviantART was a big fan of it, so I took his word for it and checked it out as well.

The first time I heard of BCB was when I was reading some comments at Prequel.
Of what I can remember is that Kazerad explained to somebody about the issues of implementing fancharacters, making mention of Bittersweet Candy Bowl and the problems Taeshi had with those.

Being curious of what this actually meant I was quick to google for BCB, which to my suprise seing the main page (then featuring some page of Just Beautiful) being well drawn with a good color job.
I found it hard to imagien how a comic of this quality could get some random fan-creation thrown into the mix.

But as I started to read from the beginning and noticed how early chapters' quality wasn't really top notch (didn't stop me from getting hooked, though), I realized how much this comic had been through and why fancharacters got terminated, except from the few worthy who got adopted as official; but that's a different story and I've talked enough.

Even the remaining fan characters are on their way out: Tess will be graduating at the end of the current school year, and McCain will be used sparingly and only when appropriate. Everyone else is already out, and a lot of fan characters have even been excised from the second volume of BCB which will be coming out soon. Most of them only made cameo appearances anyway.

I read Prequel as well. Welcome to the BCB forums, Viking!

Well I went webcomic to webcomic starting with axe cop then two kinds which led me to Yosh! And then that led me to bittersweet candy bowl. That was the only time I have every clicked an add. I also was on a family Holliday with only one laptop and a slow Internet USB.
