It was night, and zombies were roaming the streets. The group, however, knew better than to go shooting off rounds and alert the zombies which were wandering about on the ground. They were traveling across the rooftops, when they saw a helicopter pass by over-head. Flailing his arms around, Mike tried to grab its attention. He tried popping flairs, but the helicopter kept going. Mike was determined to catch the chopper though. Eight tries and seven buildings later, Mike finally threw his hands up and said, "Forget it! This is hopeless!"
"Why don't you let me try, Mike?" asked Lucy.
"Fine, but I doubt you-" Mike started to say, but was cut off by a gunshot. He then noticed Lucy smiling, her sniper rifle in hand.
"HA!" she exclaimed. "BULLSEYE!" The news helicopter came crashing down, and Mike's jaw dropped at the sight.
"Why'd you do that?!" he yelled.
"What, I got their attention." Lucy said, smiling proudly. Mike was about to say something, but out of the sky a suitcase came straight for his head. Lucy looked up and saw a burning airplane falling out of the sky with baggage raining out of it. "Hmm, I thought all the airplanes were grounded after the infection," Lucy said to herself. Mike soon came back to his senses. Looking at the suitcase, Mike's eyes widened in shock as he saw who the owner of the case was.
He grabbed Lucy and exclaimed, "LUCY, WE NEED TO GET ON THAT PLANE!"
Confused, Lucy asked, "Wait why?"
"Her name was on it!"
Suddenly, there came a huge rumble as the plane finally crashed. Mike, ignoring the obvious signs, grabbed the door and said, "There wasn't an explosion Lucy! There's still a chance she's alive!"
Lucy said, "I swear Mike, your obsession's gonna kill us all one day." They then left, the suitcase tag still lying on the rooftop. It was badly burned and damaged, but one part was still legible: Property of Sandy.
The two descended to the ground floor of the building where the rest of the group was waiting for them. Paulo wore a leather vest with a white shirt underneath, while David was clothed only in a white shirt and a red tie."Look Lucy baby," exclaimed David, "I got clothes from God!"
Smiling to herself, Lucy replied, "David, those came from a burning airplane, not God."
"No, it really did come from God!" he objected.
Mike approached Paulo, who was guarding the building with a SPAS-12. "Paulo we gotta move," Mike said hurriedly.
Irritated, Paulo said, "Don't tell me we're still chasing that stupid news chopper."
"Well, we would be, except SOMEONE thought it'd be a good idea to shoot it down!" said Mike, glaring at Lucy.
"I SWEAR IT WASN'T ME!" shouted David.
Rolling her eyes, Lucy said, "He's not talking to you David.” She then shifted her attention to Mike. “You act like it was going to pick us up!"
After much argument, the four left the building. "So where are we going exactly?" asked Paulo.
"There's a plane crash over to the north," replied Mike.
Confused, Paulo asked, "What, why would we go there?"
Thinking about it, Mike said, "Um... there might be some clothes?"
"Mike wants to see his dead girlfriend," declared Lucy triumphantly.
"LUCY SHUT UP!" shouted Mike.
Paulo bowed his head for a moment and finally said, "Alright let's go."
The group finally made it to the crash site, which wasn't hard to find, seeing as the wreckage was producing a rather large trail of smoke. Thankfully, there wasn't anyone around. Paulo stepped inside, thankful that the emergency exits were open. When he looked around with his SPAS, he gagged and covered his mouth to resist the urge to vomit. Lucy came in after him, and exclaimed, "Holy hell!" Mike's jaw dropped to the floor when he entered the wreckage. The whole airplane was a bloodbath. The floor was carpeted with limbs and battered belongings. David sat outside keeping watch as the three gazed at the plane.
"Man Mike, your girl must be one tough chick to survive this massacre," said Paulo. Mike ignored his comment and continued searching for Sandy. Finally he saw her, crying to herself in a small corner of the plane which he had failed to notice when upon entering the plane. His face lit up.
Lucy realized that something was wrong with Sandy, and tried to warn Mike, but her attempts were useless. Mike had already made his way towards sandy, ignoring the blood shed which surrounded him.
David popped his head into the airplane and asked, "What's going on up in here?"
"We're watching Mike about to get his ass kicked by his girlfriend," replied Lucy with a smile. Suddenly, Paulo knocked her down with a blow to the back of the head. Grabbing her wound, Lucy was about to ask his reasoning for hitting her was, but thought better of it when she saw the look on his face. He glared at her silently, leaving her puzzled.
Mike finally made it to Sandy, putting down his M4. He reached for her saying softly, "It's okay Sandy. Everything's alright. I wish you hadn't ended up here like this but we'll be-" Mike stopped short when he noticed Sandy's blank expression. Confused, Mike continued to reach for Sandy, but the moment he touched her, she whipped her head around and let out a huge screech.
Sandy jumped on Mike before he could make an attempt to grab his rifle. He screamed at the top of his lungs as Sandy did something unspeakable. David and Paulo were awestruck at the sight before them. Meanwhile, Lucy rummaged through the baggage scattered about the plane. Finally she returned to them, a triumphant grin painted on her face. In one hand she held a video camera, which she pointed at Mike before exclaiming, “Smile and say zed rape!”
After what seemed like hours, Sandy released Mike and stumbled out of the plane, passing Paulo and David, who were absolutely terrified. Lucy laughed to herself but jumped as she heard a groan nearby. Turning to see what it was, she was suddenly being clutched by a traumatized Mike screaming, “LUCY KILL ME!” Lucy calmed down when she realized that the noise she had heard was only Mike, and not a threat. As they exited the plane, they came to the terrifying realization that while they had watched Sandy rape Mike, a horde of zombies had managed to surround the plane.
Paulo turned to David with a sour glare, "What the hell man?!" he yelled, "You were supposed to watch for zombies!"
David looked at Paulo and replied innocently, "But it was so interesting in here." Slapping his face, Paulo knew they were all doomed. David however, grinned and ran for the exit, saying, "Wait, i know! I'll distract them while you guys leave!" Paulo, Lucy and Mike tried to pull him back screaming objections, but David was already outside. They realized that even if he died their fates appeared to be sealed, so they decided to watch the madness unfold from behind the safety of the plane's windows.
"What is he doing?" Lucy asked.
"Getting himself killed," replied Paulo.
"Actually, David can't die, as he is the comic relief. If he dies, then the comic will become too serious," stated McCain, who seemed to materialize from within the plane.
"Shut it McCain!" Shouted Lucy and Paulo. Their expressions soon changed to surprise.
"Wait, McCain?!"
"I do believe so," he replied
"Have you been following us?" Lucy questioned him.
"Yes," said McCain
"How long have you been following us?" asked Paulo.
"Do you really care?" he asked, raising an eyebrow
"No, not really." they replied, after considering the question for a moment. Suddenly, a big burst of light flashed through the windows, forcing the four to shield their eyes. McCain, who was wearing sunglasses, was unaffected by it.
"What's going on?!" screams Paulo.
"You don't want to know," replies McCain.
Outside, David was hovering in the air, emitting a brilliant ray of light, while chanting, "avi avi avi verbum avis!"
"What the hell is he saying?!" shouted Lucy.
Pulling out a Latin to English dictionary, McCain replied, "Bird bird bird, bird is the word."
"SURFING BIRD!" shouted David in a very deep and loud tone. Suddenly, a huge wave of air blasted the remaining windows of the plane, and all the zombies disintegrated.
Once the 5 got out and had started to move to a safer location to set up camp, Lucy asked David, "How did you do that?"
David simply smiled and replied, "Like I said, I got clothes from God!"
The group walked through the surrounding area, looking for suitable spots to camp out at. Lucy looked at Mike, who was obviously still very unsettled by the experience and plopped a green beret on his head which she had found on the plane. Confused by the gesture, Mike turned to Lucy, wondering why she did it. Satisfied with the look Lucy said, "There we go!"
A smile grew on Mike's face.
"Wow thanks Lucy!"
His smile turned into a frown once Lucy stated, "Now we have evened out your gayness!"
Angered by the true meaning of the beret, Mike replied, "I'm not gay!"
"You wear a scarf."
"Yeah, a scarf that you wanted me to get!"
"You were traumatized when you finally had sex with a girl."
"She was a zombie!" Frustrated by Lucy's teasing, Mike muttered something under his breath. Suddenly, he was pulled into an alley.
Mike turns around and realizes that it was not a zombie who had pulled him, but Paulo, who promptly yelled, "Stop it!"
Wondering what was going on, Mike replied, "Stop what?"
Angered at his obliviousness, Paulo screamed, "Stop messing with Lucy's heart! Your long-lost girlfriend is dead, you saw it yourself! Lucy needs you, and you of all people should know that already! She even confessed to you, but you didn't do anything! In this environment, we could die at any second but, you just can't seem to suck it up! She needs you! Love her while you still have her." Paulo then stormed off. Mike was shocked by that side of Paulo, but understood what he was saying.
By the time Paulo and Mike returned to the others, they had already set up camp, and Lucy was busy making a fire. Lucy was getting frustrated, and she threw the flint and wood, screaming, "I fucking hate these stupid flint stones!"
"Oh that reminds me!" exclaimed Paulo, his cheerfulness seeming to have somewhat returned. He reached into his backpack and pulled out a clear jar filled with a dark yellow liquid. Pulling out a syringe he sucked up some of the liquid, poured it onto the firewood, and struck a match. The fire quickly ignited.
Surprised by the fast start and heat of the flames, Lucy asked, "What the hell was that?"
Looking at the jar McCain calmly announced, "That is jet fuel."
David looked around nervously, not knowing what to do, and asked, "Anyone got any good ghost stories?"
