Ohohohohoho!
I've played a few sonic games, they're kinda fun! :3
Although I have no insight on this new game.

But I hope it's good.
(I actually liked Unleashed and, uh, appreciated the effort in Sonic 2006)
(didn't like colors, though.)
EDIT:
For all I care, Sega could file in bankruptcy and sell Sonic's rights to Nintendo.
Nintendo takes care of it's pets...
(Or to Sony, or to anyone else. Someone just please stop Sega!)

Seriously, no one wants to read a huge block of text like that.
From what I could see you were just raging and swearing a lot, so I doubt I missed much anyway.

Summary:
Play the game before you talk trash. Actually evaluate the games, not have others do it for ya. And there is hardly anymore real gamers, nya.

You're half-right, Sony outright copied Nintendo. Microsoft only partially copied because the Kinect does not need a controller, it's hands free, which is pretty god damn revolutionary.

Did you actually play the Kinect game to judge it to be shit?
I stopped playing sonic games after the Dreamcast game because I hated that it was in three dimensions, so I stick to the old school 2D ones. I got my hands on a Sonic game for the GBA, but damn was the game slow, made Sonic look like he was walking... pity. So for me, Sonic died after the Dreamcast.

1) I will give you that, because it's no controller, but it's not revolutionary. In fact, there is talk about a big ball you can go inside and run in like you were in the game and stuff. You even get stuff like sword controllers and stuff. It has controllers, but it feels more real since your moving and you have the controller as the thing your using, like a sword if your character has a sword, or a SMG, or whatever.
2) Play the Dreamcast, then the Xbox. The games on the Xbox usually suck more, though.
3) I played the game, others played the game, we all said the game sucked, the game sucked, we played the game, it sucked.
4) Okay, that's your view, but I think some of the Sonic Advances very pretty sexy. Sonic Colors is also pretty sexy, and Sonic Heroes was sexy, minus parts where Rouge came in. (That bitch can't act.) But I'm getting into different points. (When I say sexy, I mean game quality. Like Super Mario RPG was sexy, Mega Man 2 was sexy, et cetera. Smexy can be used, but you HAVE to show some evidence right away.)

I think they made a mistake on Sonic Colors. I dislike it's gameplay.
I disliked the Sonic Unleashed Story, but I liked Sonic's stages (and their music! oh so good music!), and actually I liked Werehog's stages a little. They were hell of a lot easier to get medals than Sonic's >_<
I liked the story in Sonic 2006, but hell, that game is horrible. I used to call it "Bug the Loading", but maybe I should've saved room in the name for 'Slowdowns', really. The controls are shitty too. But even so I enjoyed it =D
Black knight was a huge disappointment for me. Though I liked the story, and the fake ending. (And I absolutely love 'With me', the music for the final battle.)
So, overall, for me Sega should go bankrupt and sell Sonic's rights to a more competent company.

Why? Sega makes a few games, still, but they usually are pretty good, especially the OSTs.

I hate when "Win" fails and mediocrity is passed on to us. It's bullshit. Games are not like they were in the old school days. Sure, they are not as advance, but they were good, AND it didn't take MONTHS for a good game to come out. I still play the NES and the SNES, they are the shit.

I'm not saying Mass Effect was better than Sonic 3, I'm saying there is hardly a decent production of good games like they had in the older days. The games were fun, and they came out at a pretty good rate. We're kinda being B.S.'d with games nowadays. There hardly exists a true gamer.
- #31

Who decides what a 'true gamer' is? How does one go about defining a 'true gamer'?
Hint: IMO, if you play games and you can enjoy them and have fun, you're a gamer.

*high fives you* Exactly! Plus, I really wanna have the voice actors change because people keep on bitching about the voices and I want them to SHUT THE FUCK UP! I hate when people bitch about voice actors that are that bad. (The guy who did Sonic's voice on Sonic X I will let slide 'cuz Sonic really sounds horrible on that.)

I'm sure there are good games for the Wii, and I actually heard Colors was decent, but I really don't have the time to try everything these days. Besides, I'm tired of playing the same franchise over and over. It's why I've been losing interest in Sonic, Mario, Metroid, and all the other franchises that have over 10 games or so. Nintendo keeps sticking to the same thing instead of taking risks with new franchises, and it doesn't help that their 3rd party support doesn't give them a varied portfolio of AAA games. Never tried Galaxy 1 and 2 even though I'm sure it's quite good. But I digress, how did this Generations topic turn into a console discussion?

I'd just like to point out that there's been camera-based motion detecting systems for consoles since the goddamn PS2. The method Kinect uses is not particularly exciting, the fact it can see depth is just a clever extension of pre-existing technology.

Eye Toy, it's called an Eye Toy. Now that I think about it the Kinect has very little similarity to the Eye Toy other than having a camera in it. If anything, the Eye Toy was a glorified webcam, like the 360's LIVE Cam thing or whatever it was called, so to say that the Kinect is a total rip off is a bit of a stretch because the Eye Toy could only detect you within a field of vision whereas the Kinect can track your movement in it's entire field of view, has voice recognition and indepth detection of the subject (for example, weight loss games for the Kinect can detect whether "Ur doin' it right" or not). It's got so much more to it than the Eye Toy.
Back on topic: I heard good things about Sonic Colors, so why shouldn't Generations be good too?
