It's here.

Topic for it's discussion.
Of course, please don't discuss details of book exclusive contents, unless Taeshi-san allows it ^_^

I was about to order the Limited Edition for 59 dollars, but the shipping to Brazil is 20 bucks >_<
I'll have to get the Standard Edition.
;_;

No need to be secretive about the new chapters. But none of you can read them until next month!
  • #2

The front cover looks sexy.

Same here; $18 to the UK. I'd be quite happy to send $59 to Tae and Souppy for the Limited Edition - it's obviously worth it - but I just don't have the money available right now to pay USPS' silly prices. ._.

I have ordered the Limited edition :P. Good things of not being an student anymore.

Anyway guys, if there are many people in europe commanding it maybe we can ask Taeshi about sending it all in one single shipping, maybe it would be cheaper, for example, to reship the books inside europe.
  • #5

Hmm $49 in NZD is.... $61. That and shipping. Welp, that's what my student loan is for. 8-D

Nrrr... You're seriously tempting me to run up my credit card, here. D:

EDIT:
God. I'm either the UK's greatest BCB fan, or a complete Muppet easily convinced to buy expensive stuff. Either way, I've ordered the Limited Edition.

And you know what? I'm happy.

yappy the $18 shipping was actually part of an installment plan you will be fully paid up in august 2017

Ah! That makes sense. I was wondering why I wasn't paying the full cost of fueling an airmail plane.

Thanks for the update, Souppy. Love you. :-*

Made my pre-order for Limited Edition 30 minutes after I got the email. Very excited :D

Damnit, I wasn't the first Brit to get the book.
  • #12

I never got the email, although I'm fairly sure I did register on the mailing list-ish.

Send Tae another $50 and I'm sure you could obtain copy #1...

What book? I didn't see it! WHAT BOOK

Radial said the same! What email should I look for? I can check whether it somehow got trashed.

It was a bit of work cleaning up the email list - most were real, but about 1 in 10 had syntax errors or were empty or whatever else.

I agree fully with this post. I may not be able to afford it, but I bought it anyway, :B.

How many british buyers do we have now, anyway? I count three so far (including me)

Also, if that's possible, it would be pretty great, :B

Well it doesn't really matter any more as I know the book is already here. It's not as if I was going to preorder anyway, I don't really have any money right now :D

Still, I'll PM you the addresss.
  • #19

I hope you received at least one french order :D
  • #20

I'm just waiting for my mom to give me back my money so I can pay for my copy. But I donated 3.18 USD to the web site (Well I only had 3.18 USD left in a visa gift card I had. I hope that can pay for a little bit of the book :-*)

I really wanted to get a special edition, but I doubt my mother got it in time ;_;

Damn being in the middle of nowhere this week ._.
  • #22

DAMN IT! I was SO close to buying the special edition but due to a series of unfortunate events and that irritating bastard called "responsibility" I was unable to buy the limited edition in time, guess I'll just have to buy the regular version, either way it's gonna be awesome.
  • #23

Aww shoot. I just realised I was supposed to leave some kinda instructions about the personalized sketch when I paid for the limited edition, but didn't,

Is there some way of correcting that now? Cus apparently I'm an idiot :B

Welcome to the club. :P I messaged SuitCase in a panic and he told me "just email store@bittersweetcandybowl.com with the details and your name\paypal address so we can crossreference it"
  • #25

I'm kinda scared that I might not be able to pay for the book next week

Well, as for the Standard Edition, I'm assuming it won't be sold out all at once. :D Though if it is, well, that'd just be a testament to the will and desire of BCB fans to support the comic.
  • #27

Holy shit. I read this when I woke up a while ago. Got home from school and the Limited Edition's sold out already?! Sad panda. ;_;

Hold on. What's the difference between the Limited Edition and the Sketch Edition?

*shrugs* It's says limited edition on the front, is signed and includes a sketch by Taeshi. Although it seems they're offering the normal ones with that anyway now, so I'm not sure :B
  • #30

Limited Edition is specially numbered in a series of 75, comes with a poster, and will have a metallic "limited edition" sticker on the cover. It's basically the first set we get from the printers, and will be the first thing we mail out.

The sketch edition is just the standard book with a sketch in the back. If you got the LE, you got a better deal, but we have to draw the line somewhere (as there's a finite amount of posters we have to order in advance, etc etc)

I'm waiting for the international e-mail.
Subscription done, just waiting =D

Btw, people have commented already, but I gotta say, the cover is fantastic, very nice Taeshi-san!
And of course, thanks to Mr. SuitCase who dealt with bureaucracies and answers to our questions =P

I see. Thanks for the clarification. Still gutted they sold out so quickly. I would've easily curbed a PS3 game for it. :(

Same here. :smirk:

What made me laugh the most from the announcement email was this;

This offer is only available for the first 75 buyers, and won't be available once we head back to Australia at the end of July, or when sold out, whichever comes soonest.

Less then two days later it is already sold out. It looks like you severly underestimated the pent-up demand for the book on the site. XD
  • #34

Yeah, I was a little surprised. I'm not too blown away by the total volume of sales, but I thought there'd be like 30% LE sales and 70% standard sales, when it has been kind of the reverse.
  • #35

I wouldn't worry to much. Now that the Limited editions are out, the normal ones should pick up.

Oh yeah. Forgot about that.. What he said :B
  • #37

I wouldn't be surprised if I got the LE at the end of August or at all considering how many times I had to e-mail order changes...
  • #38

Forgive me for being the idiot for asking but what is the sketch in the sketch edition?

Its whatever you request. Basically you get the book signed and a commissioned sketch from Taeshi.

I love the cover on this. *checks wallet* ffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuu- (technical difficulties)

Fixed. But, i will be able to manage it, somehow!
  • #42

I'm having a summer job starting at the end of June.
Might order the book then unless I somehow manage to spend all the money on airsoft gear or something 8-D
  • #43

sent an email with details on the sketch a couple days ago. have to assume it's not unreasonable because I have not gotten a reply. very excited 8-D
  • #44

I might buy my copy of the book tomrrow because I'm going to buy a visa gift card at Best buy and I have a $20 gift card for Best buy :-*
  • #45

Heard there was something like a 150 books sold.

Yeah. Same here. I hope I wasn't asking too much XD
They didn't give any details, so I wasn't sure what to ask for >>
  • #47

I just puchased my copy last night. I can't wait. :D
  • #48

I'm not replying to each sketch request if it seems fine, just putting them to the side. At some point I'll organise the lot and we can pursue people who forgot and people who need to clarify.
  • #49

Just out of curiosity, what percent of sales are going to sketch version and no sketch versions?

Also once Taeshi finishes up the sketchs for all the Limited editions and the Sketch edditions, will she start taking new commisions, or will she need to rest her hand after that? XD
