HEY, I HAVE CARTER, ABBEY, AND McCAIN!

Amazil, I've seen some of your older videos where you voiced "all" of the characters. That honestly didn't go so well, they all pretty much sounded the same. How do you act on this problem?

well i'm sorry i can't change into 8 completely different voices, also i'm not sure what you mean by "act on this problem?". the problem was that i had to switch voices fast, and so a lot of times, they'd blend. now that i only have to worry about a few voices (David, Abbey, Carter, and McCain) i can relax a bit, the voices are easy for me to do, so i can do them better. of course the only two out of the four that sound alike are abbey, and McCain so as said before, sparkfur can audition for Abbey (still kinda want Bip-Bap-Bam to try for it though).

Huh? Why don't you just record the audio for each character separately, and then edit them over each-other in the final product so that they don't blend.

i realize we haven't really kept you guys in the loop so i'll just say what's currently going on. we've placed the audiocomic on hold due to difficulties with yashy. you see, BonBon decided to give up the yashy position, and well...we've been trying to find a replacement voice actor. Volgrand had a volunteer, and i assumed that meant the problem was dealt with, but as you can see we haven't gotten anything. i'll be sure to update the list so people will know Yashy's up for grabs.

because everyone knew it had failed the moment we saw who was leading the project.

I think Casey's audition sounds really good for Yashy. Unless anyone else tries out for it, I think Casey should voice Yashy.

Guys... our dropbox is PRIVATE. You cannot share there, noone will be able to hear it .

Someone update it on mediafire for example in order to share it.

Since I know all of youre voices and you offer help, I should do the same

Edit: I doubt any off you are intrested in my voice, I have a slight accent -blablablabla-ingnore what I said about the animation, I was nervous and I had nothing to say, so I dawndled on that

I have been offline this forum too long.
I was just thinking, maybe I should pick audition the part of Blur again as I feel I could go well with just his voice.
I've learnt a phrase that I will always remember, "When you have started something you must finish what you have started."
Now looking back I feel I should finish what I have agreed on doing. I probably have enough courage to do it in the living room.

I think I've been offline for so long though because I feared of the bad job I did on Yashy's voice and so erm, yeah.

You can blame me if you want but I'll try hard to not give up this voice acting for voice acting is something I'd love to do in my future.

Bah, Here is my attempt on David. Part of Drama class finally paid off, I acted worse before.

Reason the file is called "David 4" is because the first two were crappy "I am not confident", ones a long time ago, the Third was a crappy one making me sound like a sheep just minutes ago (because I ate icecream, my brain enjoys the flavors in my mouth, to hard to think).

hmm sorry i took so long, i didn't even realize you posted! (i made it a habit to just use the "new content" button, because certain threads don't show up anymore on the "find my content" button)

honestly i don't really like it. of course it's because my opinion on David isn't how Taeshi saw it BUT COME ON! I catigorized the voices into a way that was simple! Sue, and Abbey sound nice and smart, because they are nice and smart. Lucy sounded like raven, because Lucy is a bitch, Mike sounds like an average guy, because he's an average guy, the pets had a high-pitch voice because i figured, if these animals sound regular how do their pets sound? Daisy has a high pitch squeeky voice, because she's nice and innocent, i chose BBB for Augustus because his accent made him super suave, and seriously DON'T TELL ME AUGUSTUS AIN'T SUAVE! This being said, i gave David that voice which as someone claimed (seriously can't remember who it was), "Makes him sound like a narc." because it was the derpiest voice i could think of...well right next to the one i reserved for Carter which i find hilarious bottom line: i made David sound like a dumbass, because he is a dumbass and that's how i think he's supposed to sound. of course this isn't how the voices are, as explained and i don't mean to insult anyone. it's just that, that was how i saw it, and there wasn't really any evidence (that i found atleast) to prove my opinion to be false.


ANYWAY! as far as David's accent is supposed to go, that's my opinion, but as far as your actual voice acting there's one thing that really bothered me. It's the energy that David is supposed to have. When I did it, i was actually yelling THEY'LL SUMMON PARK BEARS!!!! the thing that some people don't do in voice acting is actually slipping into character. of course sometimes this is really hard to do (take it from the guy who had to slip into characters at a dime, which was sloppy work). i understand that when you start off it's unfamiliar, but you gotta learn to do it SET YOUR MIND TO DERP! , anyway yeah that's my input anyone else wish to say anything?

But it's clear that Lucy's voice is supposed to be sweet and cute, not plain and monotonous like raven's that was said already in the other video made by darkspeed.

Eh, I knew my voice wouldn't fit. That is why I made only one recording. But I did learn a lesson however, and that is how great the iPhone can be used for recordings.

Besides, I am not designed to be a voice actor anyways. I mainly am just a starter comic artist planning to make comics for a comic series (making comics of other character's point of views away from the main ones unless I have permission to do that). But putting away that would be long story, Thanks for your reply on my voice acting submission for David.

Amazil, I'll be frank but basing the character's voices on an overexagguration of their personality never did anyone any favours other than show they've got little inspiration and point out the voices are utterly cliche. Consider the fact the BCB cast are all teens in highschool with complex behaviour patters and less like the simplistic stereotypical 2D characters from My Little Pony; Augustus acts isolated but he's an average guy, he does absolutely nothing that would even consider him remotely associated to being 'swave'. In the same fashion David is not a full blown retard, he's just an average kid like Abbey, Michael and Paulo.

And Taeshi was the one who called him a Narc. It wasn't that long ago.
