We don't delete topics, that's kind of a fact around here. Rick has been a member long enough to kind of know that getting all "bawwww close it then" is absolutely and utterly futile. We are the ultimate deciders of what goes into detention, not the members. If it were the latter, then any crybaby could whine to get their topic closed if it got even a bit rowdy.

The one thread which I demanded be put into Detention did eventually (after 21 hours) get put into Detention. So I kind of don't want to push my luck there.

Johnny, bumping an old topic is only a problem when you have nothing new to add. Topics get bumped all the time without people throwing shitfits. The rule, as stated on the front page of this thread, is "don't duplicate threads," which implies bumping is the way to go.
