So I shut down my computer just now like I do every week or so and when I booted back up it came to a screen that said something like:
Your disk drive C: name Vista 64, is being checked for consistency
you may stop this at anytime, but it is strongly recommended
that you not.
after about 5 minutes and several new, "stages" it finally said that it was all done and proceeded to restart my computer
and everything was fine.
now I know that disk drive C: means my Hard drive but I don't understand what it means by checking hard drive consistency? can anyone help?
and if it matters I'm running Windows 7 home premium
thanks guys
