The reason I don't believe memes like the one Splee used should be here is because the joke was already set up and there was no effort from a creative angle; there was just a cut and paste job of the front page comic. No challenge to the creator to think of a joke, no test of their art editing skills and their humour. It's like those people who fill their DeviantArt galleries with Gaia avatars and think there was some creative input on their behalf.

The difference being that the picture in question is an edit of a Fluttershy meme with a BCB page copied and pasted in, it's not an edit of BCB.

Based on the fact that there has been edits before in which non-BCB things have had BCB modifications, I will say that the Fluttershy meme is content that can be posted here. Now does that make it a good "edit"? No it does not. Good edits are fun and fairly original ideas, not the same crap reposted time and time again. That is the type of content that should be promoted here, that which shows creativity.

Bad edits of content like this (crappy overdone memes altered slightly to make them have BCB-Content) can be posted since they have been in the past. People will just think less of you and your poor creativity. Keep that in mind if you do a hasty and poorly done meme-edit

now if only I knew how to quote... well anyways, @Lackluster, thank you as well for not understanding my point, I was responding to the pony hate is it a legit edit? well really it's simply based on what you consider an edit. By definition, an edit is simply a change made to something, and they obviously inserted the BCB comic strip into said meme, there fore editing it. Also, nowhere in the title does it say the word BCB, it simply says "the edits thread". Now while it is implied that it should be BCB related, I see no rule that says it has to be... unless its in one of the 17 pages before this one that I'm not going to waste the time to search through simply trying to make a point to another person on a computer god knows where on this planet. If you wanna go and quote where someone who's word actually counts for shit(as in not just some random person saying it, but an administrator or the creator of the thread) saying how this is a strictly BCB edits thread, or if one of the aformentioned makes a comment about it, I'll concede defeat, but that much should also be included in the title in case someone doesn't go searching through the pages looking for the specific criteria and simply reads the title before posting.

Anyways, I'm gonna say it again just in case you TL;DR the paragraph up there. I could care less if you think it's a legit edit or not, I was simply responding to the Pony hate, making a needless reply stating your distaste for the character, when i doubt many people really even give a damn whether you like or dislike ponies. Reading way too far into what I say...

EDIT: also, because i really don't feel like bumping this thing again giving people more false hope of edits only to be rewarded with people on the internets arguing, @skmojo, I'ma use the edit button. I personally wont use any edits to prove a point if only because i have no desire to show off my fail of an attempt to edit something only to have it used as proof against me.
