What is your greatest fear?

People seem to be talking about scary things lately, but I don't think this has actually been asked.

I would like to start off by showing you the terrifying creature that haunts my neighborhood.

Posted Image

Absolutely terrifying.

I freak out every time I'm near a flowery bush. I'm such a wuss. :nope:

I absolutely hate spiders. Creepy things, they are... whenever I see one I proceed to obliterate it as fast as I possibly can.

A farmhouse near where I lived. I always thought it was haunted. ._.

I suppose my fears are normally far less substantial than "I am scared of snakes" or "spiders horrify me". While I am not fond of having either creeping on me, and I try to avoid wasps at all costs, I deal quite well with them when they do get close. Now, concepts have rather more power over me.

Gay males.
No, I'm not joking.
  • #4

Roaches. Sure, they're harmless and everything but they're fucking creepy. It doesn't help I see like, five to ten every week at my Dad's apartment because he has some nasty neighbors.

Then there's wasps. My brother doesn't understand why I'm scared of them. Just the way they hover, ugh.

Otherwise, not much else freaks me out as much as it just makes me paranoid haha

Snakes scare me.
  • #6

Yeah, I've got a pretty strong fear of insects that sting. Got stung several times on the face when I was little...

There was something making a taping noise near my window lastnight.
And I was already scared enough from the Majora story.
Song of healing backwards. D:

im afraid of spiders and my sister has a pet taranchula so thats fun
  • #12

Personally I think wasps are cool anyways back on topic I would say my fear is death but that fear rarely affects me. Used to be heights but I climbed a wall to conquer that. Anyone else ever conquered a fear?

Edit: Only reason I say death is because I don't want to be gone before I do everything I wanted.

I KNOW. I started fearing it when my late aunt slid down them on her left shoulder, dislocating it.

Pushing people off stairs during fights is so fun.
Watch them roll.
  • #20

When I was younger, I fell down the stairs for fun. Set up some couch cushions and let 'er rip.

I would slide down the stairs with a blanket, or a laundry basket. Good times.

I would have no problem doing that now, but I'm fifteen, and theres an expensive ceramic doll at the bottom of the stairs.

I'm nearly 22, and I weigh over 80kg, nothing good could come from me sliding down the stairs. :(

Close spases don't bother me.

Although being shipwrecked would suck.

Does it have to be an object that causes the fear, or can it just be extremely ironic? My greatest fear is publicly wetting myself. ._.
  • #33

I fear that people I know will find out I'm I'm this forum. :(
  • #34

People touching me.

I am always wearing gloves, jackets or long sleeve shirts and a hat or beanie to prevent people from being able to make skin contact as much as possible.
  • #35

My greatest fear? My computer failing, and every single part going up in smoke. I have dreams about viruses eating away at my files, about my processor frying, etc. You have no idea how bad that would suck for me.

How the hell was I supposed to know? (so sorry)
  • #39

Losing an appendage or becoming wheel-chair bound..or worse. I would rather be dead than debilitated. My personality and lifestyle depend on mobility. Without it, I would struggle immensely to appreciate and adapt to the limitations brought upon me.
  • #40

Until recently, I feared death (or rather the concept of the after-life, as I'm not religious) in a paranoid manner. But then I realised that it isn't preventable, and that lifes sucks. So yeah, I'm fine now. Other than that, I might fear being near ledges at large heights, and theme park rides (not so much I fear them as I hate them).
  • #41

Heights scare the hell out of me, and always have. Though surprisingly, the higher up I go (ie balloon or airplane height) the more it disappears.

I think the 200 foot tall Mamba Rollercoaster at World's of Fun is the peak of my fear. I scream like a bitch when I'm on that ride.

Oh, if we're going to get into those things...

I have a very strong fear of not succeeding at whatever career I end up in. Hell, I'm still afraid I won't graduate university, scared out of my freaking mind that I won't be allowed into the major that I'm closest to finishing, by almost 2 years of classes, because I fucked up one class in a depressive episode and the psychological diagnoses I got won't let me get the help to switch.

I'm afraid of being alone into oblivion, and that I'll never leave a lasting impression on this earth.

Ok, enough about me now.
  • #43

Septicemia, I guess. I don't really fear it per se, but I'd honestly rather die than be that sick ever again.

Funnily enough At my formal I feel down the stairs TWICE (once when EVERYONE was watching, oh god). And I've also lost one of my big toe nails :nope: I kind of see why you don't like these things...

Scorpions, spiders, and crazy ass fangirls. And some radical feminists. I mean the actual radical ones. Changing your name doesn't make you a radical feminist, cutting a guy's ----------------------------------------------------- off and selling it on EBay makes you a radical feminist.
  • #46

I'm not sure I have a fear anymore

Ouch. Don't worry, you were smart enough to get to college, you'll be able to succeed. Just keep positive! :)
