I'm am 99.9% positive this sucks and I'm going to get eaten alive by the fans of both series, immolated by the creator, and possibly banned for life. For those who read this, though, brace yourself for squick, nightmare fuel, bad characterizations and potential fridge horror.
The idea came to me in two waves. First, some guy on the old forums decided to merge the comic with Silent Hill. But the way it was done just felt forced to me. Some time later, I came across the Love Me fic. Squick incarnate, but it worked very well. It took little more than a sleepless night for me to get the guts to write this. And it's pretty much been posted on a dare.

My Noble Cause -- Very NSFW A horrible fanfic with the potential for horrific implications.
This. Is. Freaking. AMAZING.
What's it based on? I can sense F.E.A.R, Silent Hill, Alone in the Dark, Penumbra... Silent Hill especially since the last chapter bit has the same name as one part of the SH2 soundtrack

Thanks, Sammy, though actually Never Forgive Me, Never Forget me is from SH3 (it's the song that plays when you're in your Dad's room after you fight the Mercenary boss). Actually, all of the titles are borrowed from SH soundtrack songs that I felt fit the mood of that chapter.
As for your question, the story is intended to take place in a parallel continuity to both the Silent Hill games and BCB, where Silent Hill and its areas exist but the universe works BCB style (cats and dogs vs humans) and the BCB cast exists. Penumbra, FEAR, Alone in the Dark, etc are all unintentional, but considering the games are fairly highly rated (Alone in the Dark only if you're talking about the original), noting similarities doesn't upset me. I really only feel this story is crap because I just don't like it.
Bonus points if you could figure out what part of Abbey's psyche the monsters represented (the shape-shifter, of course, was Abbey's self loathing for failing to protect his mother.)

Damn, man. That was pretty awesome. Felt like something from Silent Hill, and was pretty well written too. I should be studying for finals tomorrow, but I couldn't stop freakin reading!
Couple typos, but nothing major, overall very well put together, but it had a couple problems here and there, and I felt the second to last chapter (without wishing to spoil) was a bit off somehow...
But it's still pretty AWESOME and well worth a read. Gold star to you, sir!
