....Sorry but I think this is the first time anyone has said something this straightforward about my art. Literally the first time anyone says they love this and not add anything on to that. The best compliment I've ever gotten

I'll try to update it a bit more for you guys. I'm also thinking about ideas for other comics too, something Taeshi would like possibly. I know she isn't one for Sci fi

(that would work, wouldn't it? Taeshi was an Egyptian word, Egyptians have gods and stuff)
I'd aim for a larger demographic target than one person. If you want to appeal to everyone on the BCB forum, draw cats doin' it.
Haha! I make the big jokes today

Although chibi is not the exact term for this style, it's like an american chibi
Suffice to say, many of my peers have sensational talent, but luckily even if I'm not that good yet I know how to make things humorous and entertaining!

----And no, the whole thing where Cross suddenly knowing Rick this whole time was not thought up on the fly. I had the idea in mind for some time, so there.

Why draw the boxes so close to each other? Why not just have them touching?
But now I "get serious". The first panel should be two panels. The first with Callie kicking, and then the second with them conversing. She wouldn't tell her not to look down there while keeping her leg up in the air, right?

You raise good points there. The panels are pretty bad since I didn't take my time with them. If you recall most of the panels I did in the past sort of just went from left to right and were always stuck together from top to bottom. So I wanted to split it up a bit more. This time around it was kind of bad but I'm getting the hang of it with the next page where it's not all congregated save a few panels if need be. And if I could, I would probably try changing that first panel into two like you said. I still like how most of it turned out this time around at least
And yes, anyone should be shocked Cross can overcome the adversity of helmet hair so damn easily.

Oh and if I may be so bold; Shotgun Cross' voice in any animated adaptation made
- #79
- 17 December 2011 - 08:29 AM
---Also, I wouldn't necessarily say that Cross is British. I'd think that his accent is more of a refined Irish. Another reason is because Cross may not even be from the planet earth

Nontheless! I still want to do cross' voice!(I suppose I can do a passable Irish at least) Even If I have to do my own adaptation to do it! (I never will, I'm too lazy

Well the panels are fine.
Will you redraw that first scene into two panels? All I recommend is to move the speech from that first panel into another new panel, separate the banter from the bashing.
I keep assuming you're able to digitally edit it. Can you?

@skmojo I couldn't digitally edit it without trying to edit everything else

Heeeey guys, been a little bit since I updated huh? Unfortunately this was the best I came up with right now. I'm sort of in the midst of planning where else star captain rick is going on it's next adventure. And I currently have made a tumblr account. Although as it is I don't want to post anything like the earlier comics of star captain rick on their if I put the whole thing up. Which means I either decide RE-DRAW EVERY PAGE UP TO THE SPACE PIRATE ARC
OR I make a new comic for the tumblr one and obviously a new topic on here. Does not mean I won't draw Star Captain Rick anymore.
Now, along with that some may be wondering who Kirby Krackle is from the sketch. They're this awesome Nerd Rock band that I feel in love listening to. This is a video from their popular and catchy song: Up Up Down Down
And for anyone not into love songs, here's one about the green lantern
okay that about does it. Fun stuff huh?
OH SHIT THAT'S RIGHT THE TUMBLR LINK: thatlousyartist.tumblr.com

---And it's all something that really happened! including that part about Elise, her first design had her shorts leave even LESS to the imagination. So I had to slightly cover that up
And the things my friend Nate will tell me about his sex life. Oh God

but, please seriously keep it up.
cuz its one of those comic that is pretty easy to draw, but amazingly fun to read.
and when i say its easy to draw, i dont mean i can do better, cuz i probably can't.
the hardest part in drawing a comic is the situation/story.
but ideas can easily be found around the internet, browse around a bit, surely you'll find something.
also, for every pair of well-drawn boobs, a comic get 15% more awesome.

You should let me know when you start posting your comic so I can have a look. But don't worry I never keep it too simple so the art still looks good. Anyways thanks for telling me I've been doing a good job

Keep going....
This is it....
I'M MAKING A STAR CAPTAIN RICK FILM
My close friend and I were talking today and I mentioned I wanted to make a short film before I graduate high school. He said I should make an adaptation of Star Captain Rick for it. I liked the idea and we kept going on it, who we know in our circle that we can try casting, settings, feature length. So It's turned into a serious thing and I believe that all the people who like to read my comic should know. Now before you go thinking I'm a complete hack, I've been taking courses in film since freshman year and I have access to good cameras, tripods, green screens, and editing programs. We're talking Final Cut Pro and Vegas Pro 8 programs. So believe me I know how to go about that stuff. I'm not saying this will be a pure masterpiece, but I'm going to try my damn hardest to impress. And since I know a lot of good people here would have great suggestions to it I'm willing to hear them so don't be shy. As things progress I'll start posting who will play who and how far things are. This is a big step for me since I'm combining some of my two biggest hobbies and career interest so please support what I'm doing. Thank you all.
