I don't want to attack you, Susan, just make you think. Maybe you meant stupid, but in general it's better to just say Stupid. From your post, it's impossible to tell that you meant 'stupid and a bundle of sticks' and not 'stupid and gay.' Unfortunately, in the common lexicon, (particularly on the internet) it's nowadays almost always the latter.

Paulo eh....? He is a strange fellow. It's like he can't decide whenever he should do what he thinks he is , or what others think he is. Not necessarily bad and has a lot of room for character development. I feel like his "Womanizer" persona is going to fade away as years pass. Also people complaining about inappropriate words not directed to them is hilarious. You silly Americans and your tolerance.

Speaking of inappropriate words. I assume swearing is allowed on the forum? Eh I would personally rather have it switched off. Swearing doesn't really add anything important to the conversation and keeps the forum nice and clean.

Paulo is a jerk. He curses fairly often and insults Mike and Abbey a lot, too. Still, he's someone who will beat your face in for messing with his friends. See Confrontation. Perfect show of his willingness to help friends in need. He's cool by me. And his best friend is David. Can a bad guy have such a whimsical friend purposefully? And there's Jazzie. She's going to keep him in check... Sadly, Mike needs some work on his niceness these days. For now.

You see for the entire comic Mike has been a pretty nice guy. Not Abbey nice but still a cool hero. Then he starts behaving like an asshole of a sudden even though he has a good reason to. People are just used to his nice persona, so the sudden change is like slashing the fanbase with a really sharp knife. This is why the reaction is so extreme. Everyone thinks he is a jerkass now.

The reason people are upset is because Lucy finally went against her nature again, going through insane amounts of internal conflict, to tell him how she truly felt and he was plainly unfriendly to her about it. Confrontation. She took a lot to protect Mike year before he developed this aggressive dislike for her. It's like he remembers none of it. That is why. And, no, I don't dislike Mike. And on-topic, there's worse. Paulo's okay. If anyone's possibly bi, it's David. He really likes touching Abbey more than Abbey is comfortable with. Topwebcomics has a pic of it.

He's a jerk with a heart of gold. He will always try to do the right thing, but that doesn't mean he won't have a bit of jerkish fun. Not to mention the only two people he really plays around with are Mike and Abbey, Mike takes it well for the most part, but Abbey unnecessarily hates Paulo already because he dislikes how he acts in general, and Paulo's just chill about how Abbey acts and doesn't really care. My reference being the relationship chart.

2. I'm really not quite sure what to think of Paulo, teasing is a part of any friendship, but he is kinda a womanizer... he actually makes me think of Bart from the Simpsons a bit, but really I don't think i'm a good person to look towards for judging others.
I have very low social skills, I have trouble gauging how far is too far, and generally my attitude is to keep quiet and draw the least amount of attention to myself as possible, which is relatively easy on the internet since a person attention span drops to about twelve seconds before moving on to something else.

I, too, think TD and Rukral pretty much said it the best.

I, for one, appreciate his straightforwardness. If Lucy is acting like a bitch or a drama queen, he tells her. If Abbey is acting like a 'douchebag', he doesn't hesitate to inform him so. Paulo cuts through the bull and straightens shit out at times when it really counts. I'm not saying he isn't the cause of any drama, but he makes solid attempts to correct them by approaching them head on. People seem to lump together his superficial, joking abrasiveness with his straight-to-the-point approach in solving issues.

And the other thing about him being a good friend and having a decent moral compass...etc.

He is kind of a pussy with his phobias though.

My friend showed me this forum thread, saying it was the funniest thing he had ever seen. I don't think I found it as funny as he did, but it was quite the read, alright.

Well, I'm not going to go into super long detail about why I love Paulo and everything about him, because other people (even Taeshi) have done that already for me. Many times. Over and over, back and forth.

LucyxPaulo FTW. :D

Mike can go be happy with Sandy, or he can roll over on the ground and die. Frankly, I don't give a shit. I really liked Mike when I first started reading the comic, but now, I just hate him. Him and his stupid ass scarf. XD

I'm more neutral about Abbey, but I think the experience with his father really fucked him over. Even with therapy, I can tell he's the violent type. He's not the kind of person who could tell a girl like Daisy that she is beautiful everyday, whereas Paulo could do it many times in the same hour. I'm not a DaisyxAbbey fan by any means. I never liked Abbey. He had a really cool back-story, but nothing else.
