So my mother and father have had a very happy ending, for instance, despite the fact that they fight every now and then. And they did not get together over such shenanigans as in the Hollywood films. ^_^
The same goes for all my grandparents, and many families I know.

I have never known anyone who had a "happy ending" as far as relationships are concerned. People are shitfuckers, it's really just a matter of time before this comes out in them. That is why relationships don't work.

I'm proud.
Now you just have to find the reason why there is happyness in the world.
There is a reason, you just have to find it or it will have no value.

@ ClosetLucy: I'm telling you, I like both of them and I think they'd be good together. Daisy was the one who inadvertently destroyed PauloxTess (besides Tess and, if you really want to argue this point, Taeshi's HORRIBLE FAN CHARACTER PREJUDICE AHAHAHAHA). I was a PauloxTess shipper as it had more build up, but since she wouldn't throw herself into the thing and take a damn chance she doesn't get a say in it anymore. PauloxDaisy is where it's at because Paulo is a good guy and Daisy is a sweet girl and seeing them together would be the most interesting BCB experiment since the story began.

Pff, I know MikexLucy will be hard and all that jazz and constantly I find myself in a position where I have to reevaluate what I ship but I keep the faith! If it doesn't end that way I can't say I'll be pleased or eager to read again but I will have to face facts and realize what I want won't happen if it comes to that.

Mhm. That is true; most normal relationships would not really be fit for a film or a comic, or even a book. The problem arrives, however, when we think that the rules of stories apply to real life.

I would still like to know about the storm being strongest before it ends.

I'm just gonna do a glorysupporter thing and go with whatever seems most likely. At the moment, with mike and Lucy still bitching all over each other, Sandy is the most likely outcome for a relationship.

The Greeks had a story about a couple who lived, I believe, during the Silver Age of Man. Very pious, very kind, just two wonderful people in love with each other. I don't remember the specifics of the context outside that, but what happened was that Zeus himself took notice of these two out of all the people in the world. He asked this priest (I assume) what he wanted most and the priest replied, "I don't want to live a moment longer than my wife." Zeus was so touched by this that when the coupled died together of old age many years later, he grew two trees wrapped around each other in their place.

Mhm. But what we associate with a sunrise is normally not the heat, but the light. So I think the expression loses a bit of its flair if we use it that way.
And yes, bittersweet endings are strangely appropriate. Yet so far, the only one we have seen was not bitter at all, only sweet.

Sue X McCain! They're awesome and you know that!
David X Rachel, since flower girl would dump him.
SUDDENLY TESS FINDS A NEW LOVE AND THEY LIVE HAPPILY FOREVER AFTER!
Augustus dies alone.
Blur X Yashy...
Also, YAY SOMEONE LIKED IT!

1) MikexLucy. The classic Victorious Childhood friend trope. There is a huge amount of evidence for that starting from the fact that the two are main characters and ending with the fact that the site icon is Mike's Scarf and Lucy's Ribbon tied together. Although this can be interpreted as their close friendship and how their lives are connected but I won't dig that deeply.
2) MikexSandy. The alternative as I like to call it. There is a lot of evidence that this pairing is the canon one and Mike's constant remarks set it pretty deep in stone. This would make for a fine bittersweet ending as Mike is happy and Lucy is left alone with some other guy. (Carter. Okay Okay I am just kidding. No need to throw rotten tomatoes at my fine suit.)
3) MikexThird Option. Another popular story twist where the hero chooses neither. I have a feeling that when finally speaking with Sandy personally Mike would realize that Sandy is a completely different person and all left from his love is just innocent childhood memories. This would make him either choose Lucy or go for a third option.
Thats my thoughts. But Taeshi already made me jump twice in the comic when something that I didn't predict happened so who knows. Maybe there will be one hell of a twist where everyone wins somehow. But I still expect a melodramatic ending to fit the tittle.

You want an unsure Mike to be paired with a pissed off Lucy? That will last a whole, I don't know, half hour.

Why would you want him to die alone, he's a cool guy who deserves an equally cool mate.

Augustus is an asshole, and he's helping that dude in confrontation to attack my favorite pairing D :<
But maybe, during this attack, Mike will have nothing else to do but to accept his feelings for Lucy is pure and true love, and that she feels the same... (get's derailed and starts a very very long fan-fic about it which ends with the two lovers sleeping at each other's arms, not caring about the world around them, since they're there one for the other... blah blah)
Also, that last one was just... I don't know, to cover more? he CAN redeem himself, I just... can't find a pairing for him and don't care much about how he lives? once he becomes a good guy I'll ship him with... JESSICA!

Either way... I would, actually, like Augustus to (redeem himself and) get together with Tess. Unless that directly conflicts with Paulo and Tess (something I doubt).

Also ILB that's side art not the real thing, though if you want to count side art, don't forget about him leaving the note on Daisy's locker in that one picture she drew. That's such a sweet picture

And no, I will not say that his actions when treating Abbey are redeemable at all. He also acted selfishly and creepily towards Daisy. Now, I am decontextualising (sic) this, I know, and similar cases can be made against Paulo, at the very least. Still, I think the intentions behind make so much difference that I would not trust him if I were to meet him as much as I would tryst, say, Paulo. ^_^

I somehow doubt it. The posterior-oriented characters are needed, if only because they are a bit fun to write for. ^_^

I think he actually helped her in the long run. I mean before Augustus came along Daisy was confused and emotionally unstable. When Augustus helped her act her emotions out, she had the experience of what happens when you act like that. She then learned her lesson about being the selfish person that she was. I think that had Augustus not opened her eyes, she might've had a worse run in with her emotions later on that would've ended more catastrophically. Besides that point, it seemed like Augustus was honestly and truly trying to help Daisy out.
