The Drakon War
Summary/Excerpt: The female drakon breathed in, and launched a fireball out of her snout at the settlement elder, and, had he not quickly risen into the air, she would most likely have hit him. As it was, the fireball shot under the fluttering Drakon, and slammed into a snow bank, rapidly melting it down to a puddle that instantly re-froze. She then rose into the air, and dived at Qwa'an. The Drakon-Qan rolled in midair out of the way, and Frashe'e's feet barely missed colliding with the ground. Qwa'an sent a jet of fire after her, but she got out of the way, and rose up to face the leader.

The two sparring beasts rose to a height of about 20 metres, and began to circle one another. Occasionally there would be a ball or jet of fire, followed subsequently by a roll or a lift. I was watching this battle with both a look of horror and rapt attention, when I felt freezing cold fur rub up against my front leg. I looked down to see a starry wolf pressing against it.

"That's not good, is it?" commented Amarok.

I've written a short PauloxLucy fluff. It was originally going to be a PauloxLucyxGentlemanNyanCat very different story, with sex in it, but I decided 'Fuck sex, I'm writing T.'

I don't think Pushed Away should be continued. It would need some new conflict introduced to keep it going, and that seems like too much of a risk of ruining a perfectly good one-shot with a poorly tacked-on second chapter.

Someday, I will see a story where Paulo or Lucy will agree with me about why Mike acts how he does. And then I will complain profusely, because there is no way either of them will ever be able to make a careful unbiased analysis. It's strange enough when real people agree with me.

I agree with Borg Lord (surprise surprise). You've already done enough with satisfying PxL fans but if you write further about how their relationship will work then you will get comments of those same fans saying, "Oh no you should have made them do this" or "That is so not what they would do as they would totally..."

No, I'll not be continuing "Pushed Away" - it's a oneshot. I will, however, be doing some touch-ups of it after I write chapter 3 of Spiraling Descent.

Also I want to write the alternate PauloxLucyxGentlemanNyanCat!

You WILL write that. Even if I...well, i didnt even MAKE this avvie...even if I just make a cameo.But anyway, thats a pretty good one-shot Sparky, I should know since ive been perusing teh fanfiction.net for quite awhile now, so I like to think I know what makes a good story.

Actually I most likely won't, since that would involve putting work in to a jokefic.

Why does Paulo have a goatee? Draw an outline before you add detail, and try and pay at least passing attention to anatomy. Plus, get a better painting program than Paint.

They aren't quite as bad, although the principle still applies. Take your drawing of Mike; his head, if it were that large, would not be supported by his neck. His legs are far too skinny, and his arms look like bits of cardboard. Take a look at some actual anatomical sketches and practice drawing out figures. Your pictures certainly aren't done justice by the crappy program you're using; Paint is for five-year olds and Autistic mumblers.

I'm not using paint - I'm using, as was stated above, PS Elements 2.0

However, since I'm using a touchpad, I'm essentially drawing with my finger

Do you have a scanner? If do not want tablet, and if you prefer traditional drawing, get a scanner. They are also more versatile, in a sense, allowing scans of photos and documents.

Yes, I have an (admittedly shitty) scanner. I've not done a lot of work in traditional artwork though - I've mostly just done digital.

Though I could draw traditionally, and then edit/colour digitally...

Yeah, that's what I do. I pencil/ink manually, then scan it into GIMP, mess with levels until I've got nice lineart, then digitally color, shade, composite, etc...

It takes a while to get the hang of a tablet too. I never have time to work with mine. Mine is also REALLY old. and I have a perfectly good scanner.

So, guys, I was bored last night, and started doodling. Suddenly, before I knew what I was doing, I'd started a Legend of Zelda/BCB crossover comic.

Wut.

So I present you with BCB: Ocarina of Time.

I'll be going over this with a pen at the soonest opportunity, so this will become a lot less faded in a couple of days.

I guess my main real purpose is to get better at drawing/art in general, and I'm hoping that by the time I get further in to this comic, I'll have the skills/tools necessary to update these pages to a far higher standard.

So until then, enjoy!

I had a whole big thing written out, but reloaded the page by accident, so this is a condensed version because I don't have enough time to re-write it.


I really like the art on this page. most of it has a solid concept behind it and is actually pretty good. but there are a few things I think could use a little work.

I need some practice myself, but there are some basic tips I can give you that I think might really help to improve your art.

-criticism-

-well, right away I notice it looks like in the hand drawn things that you seem to be using a pen and going over things once. one thing that may really help is to draw everything in light pencil, then go over the work in a good pen once you've gotten to a place you like with the pencil. a good pen is also important, because you want clear, clean lines.

-also, a very simple thing that could help is using a straightedge for paneling. the heads also seem a little big, but that is not much of a problem.

-on the mike pic, his tail seems to be at an odd angle. it seems to be going away and behind him, like the panel is not there. if he was really tied up, and barely coming to consciousness, his tail should be off to the side, downward or drooping.

-CIRCLES. take about three sheets of paper, and fill them, front and back with circles. do this untill you can draw about 10 or so good circles in a row. this relay helps your control, and can even have impacts on other non-art things, like hand writing.
that's pretty much it. I really hope this helps.

-Yeah, I was using an incredibly shitty pen that wouldn't draw half of the time, hence the apparantly random lines everywhere and the holes in the lines, and whatnot. I'll try and get hold of a better pen, though - I'm sure I've got one somewhere.

-If you're referring to BCB:OOT, I drew those panels freehand. I usually would actually use a ruler for paneling
