I have a lancer in my story by the name of Abraham that's just like Abbey, 'cept the main protagonist has a rivalry with him and my Abraham knows magic and is kinda like a Dragoon, and he's more... I"n the name of justice!" or "Between the light lies ultimate judgement!" (But they throw the rivalry away when they need to.) I don't bitch that someone with a webcomic about cats have a similar character then mine.

Look it this way: Most stories have the Hero, the Lancer, the Smart Guy, the Big Guy, and the Chick. The Mario universe has that, but Final Fantasy doesn't complain about that. Persona has that, but I don't say they steal from my story.

It's kind of hard to explain. Posted Image Let's reference that. Abraham and Abbey hold the same place as being Lawfully Good. He comes as a chivalrous character later on, like Abbey, during the second year of the main protagonist's high school career. He has some struggles with his troubled past and it sometimes shows in his actions or attitude. He oft tells other not to go against any morals they have.

Abraham Contiger* castigates people when his morals are gone against, but he always tries to be helpful, even if it will end up backfiring. He'd actually rather be the main guy's friend, then be viewed as rivals. GENO, however, has a lot in common with Abraham, which he is not willing to admit.

Fun fact: Abraham loves daisies, due to daisies being his mother's favorite flower and the flower he was given upon her death, which he placed on her grave as she was cast out to sea.

(*Latin for "Lancer".
Sad thing is, I don't like Abraham, yet he is very popular to those who read my story.
