The Bittersweet Candy Bowl chat room can be found at #bcb on irc.rizon.net! Use your favourite client to access it. Many people use mIRC, Xchat, Chatzilla or Opera, Veronica and I use Colloquy.
Alternately, you can visit it via the special in-line Mibbit chat client. If you're having trouble with Mibbit, try a proper chat client. They are more reliable.
Right now, the moderators in the chat are: myself (SuitCase), Taeshi, and SpaceMouse. We don't do a lot of moderating as people are generally good! We hope you are too. We don't have any real rules for it besides "don't be bad or boring". But new people are great, so if you were ever scared before, please drop in and idle or talk!
Post anything regarding IRC stuff here, although I'm not sure what is altogether relevant besides our lax rules as above.

Note: Anon nicks are banned from the IRC. If you try to join and you didn't fill out a nickname, and can't join, that is why. Perhaps you should fill in a nickname at the login prompt.

In short, you need to connect to the Rizon network, then join #bcb.
When you open up mIRC, enter your nickname. Optionally, you can enter an alternate nickname in case your original choice is already taken.
Then on the left-hand side, click Servers. Scroll down to find "Rizon". Double-click on it, then double-click on "Random server". Then press the Connect button. It may take a few seconds to connect.
The mIRC Favorites window will pop up. To join the BCB channel, type #bcb and click Join.

I got in, but there wasn't anybody else there.
EDIT: It works for me now. But in truth, there really wasn't anyone active when I logged in, so I might have had a slightly different situation than yours.

I think the Rizon network is down for some reason. I was there for a while, but then suddenly, about forty minutes ago, I received no messages even though there was activity going on for a while before that. I mean, the people were there, and suddenly they were silent.
I logged off, and now I cannot reconnect to Rizon. So I doubt it is a local problem.

Yes, though not many people have made it back in. It looks like all of Rizon crashed and it's using al available conenctions to let people back in. Keep trying if you don't get in first time.

I seem to have been banned.
When I try to join with "Stormthehouse" it says its in use and to pick a new name, so I go to "Storm" or "STH1729" since those are the other names I regularly use and it says i'm banned.
I haven't been on the IRC for nearly two months or something now, so I don't really know why I was banned, since the last time I remember getting on I just sorta stalked and didn't say much.
Also, I was using the one on this site because I ran out my trial for mIRC and I don't feel like paying $30 for something I only use less then once a month.
Is this an error or did I do something wrong or what?
