Voice Thread

I wanted to use chatter as the icon as a visual pun--/shot

Anyway, since there's a "real life picture thread," I figured it would make sense to show this as well! Now we can place a voice to a face!

Just use this website, Vocaroo | Online voice recorder, make a clip, and post it here!

I'll go first~

Vocaroo | Voice message

That was an extremely awkward clip... xD;;

This seems like a good idea until someone sends in audio clips from hardcore porn.
  • #5

I still can't hear it :|
Is there another site for this?
  • #6

Yup, I dont hear a thing
I hear that the mic was on and it was recording but there was like no sound

Also, I think it would be easier to hear voices through Skype or something lol

My god. BCase you have the same voice as a friend. You may have a spanish speaking clone round here.

As for mike, you bave a pretty normal voice, for whatever reason I thought you'd speak faster.

Lux, you have dat radio voice.
  • #24

Oh I do speak REALLY fast... I slowed down so that I didn't sound like an idiot.
  • #25

I posted some of my voice in the Bittersweet Candy Bowl Movie thread, so I suppose you can listen to some of those takes.
BCB testing.wma
This was me testing out my mic. I was originally trying out for Daisy.

Sue.wma
Sue 2.wma
Here was me trying out for the Sue part. I didn't change my voice at all for it, so this is what I really sound like.

I get told that a lot but I'm not really sure what it means. Does that mean I'd be a good radio announcer or what? XD;;

If you want, I guess I could make a voice clip giving it a try--/shot
  • #29

I might post a clip of one of my songs on here eventually.
  • #30

It's all fun and games until someone edits your voices into videos that you're not in...
  • #31

asdf, you and CrealStar are just so paranoid! =P I didn't even think of either of those things until you brought it up!

Are you seriously saying that your voice subconsciously alternates between accents? I mean that would be a bit awkward in a job interview or something D:

...Also, no Australian accent? I am disappointed :/

Alternating accents quickly would be strange but I can kind of relate, I tend to subconciously mimic a foriegn accent if one is nearby without thinking about it, this made for a very awkward situation with my French Calculus II professor last semester...and my German Physics professor...yeah it's just awkward...a guy in one of my classes was convinced for like 3 months that I was from South Africa...

It is nothing but common to change accents. Everybody does it to some degree - people never talk exactly the same way to their grandparents and their friends, for instance. Or to the bank teller and the teacher. I do believe the phenomenon is called a "sociolect".

And it happens when you address people with different accents, too. If you, as a New Zealander, meet a Canadian, you will probably subtly change slight parts of your language and pronunciation.

I know someone who is able to almost perfectly copy any accent, the problem is she does it subconsciously whenever she talks to someone who has a different accent than her normal one. People have thought she was making fun of them before because of it.

Heh, I got a pretty normal voice (for my nationality/place on the map) so I can see how I'd sound like a lot of people.

Evil? I dunt get why I would think that.
  • #49
