Ask Roseville High

OH, GAWD. D:

My neighbor had a female cat...
When it was her time... she climbed into my bedroom window. :nope: And hid in my closet.
  • #151

But probably didn't menstruate all over you closet floor. BCBiology is mostly human based, so far as I know we're not talking about estrus.
  • #152

It was still gross. >:( Plus, I hate my neighbor. Hahaha

I never QUITE said it wasn't.

B'awwww Lucy.

If Mike were the gold medal of her relationships and Paulo the silver medal, Abbey would be the participation award.

I kinda like how the cell phone loves Mike back, who knew?

This latest one kinda breaks the 4th wall.
It explicitly refers to 'fans' in the submitted question.

I am very disgruntled. My questions to crotch guy and turtle have gone unanswered an I am very cross!
  • #163

I for one am perfectly content never to know the answers to my stupid ass questions. I can't even remember what I asked.

But you can be proud that I'm mostly sure I didn't use any references to dicks.

So if you see something about dicks, that's not me probably.

Now now, she may only have begun the process of screwing Jasmine over. ;)
  • #176

But Jasmine is sweet...at least to Paulo. Splash her with unholy water and see what happens.
  • #177

Maybe the cross represents chastity, but not religion.

Please excuse if what I just said is unbelievably stupid, I know next to nothing about religion as a whole.
  • #178

Who knows much more of nothing about any religion ever, for that matter? I, for one, cannot keep track of my own. It constantly changes without my knowledge and every church (Regardless of being the same damned religion.) tends to tweak things to their liking and beliefs. Confusing man...

Anyways... What's wrong with Jasmine? I like her. ._. She's nice to everyone.

There's nothing wrong with Jasmine, per se. I just don't see Jasmine and Paulo's relationship lasting all that long, despite the fact that she's currently making an effort to be with him more. I think eventually Paulo's feelings for Lucy will screw the relationship over in one way or another (as they almost did in "Carry Me").

I dunno, I think I've realised that it's very unrealistic to have characters not ever mention any sort of religion they might have, because it's a real thing. I just would never spotlight it or make a chapter based on religion. I think what I mean by "making a religious character", I meant making a character have their religion as a huge defining characteristic of their life, which is not the case for Jasmine. It has even been cited in the comic itself that she goes to church on Sundays, but she's not running around talking about the bible or being high-strung or being someone you'd define as "the christian girl." She's a normal girl with beliefs, and I'm sure there's plenty of religious people who go about that way.

I just would not have a mormon, because their lives seem to be shaped around religion for example. Similar to how Abbey has some really strong almost-capitalist-republican beliefs, but it's not his absolute defining characteristic.

People are sooner to think of Jasmine as the high-achiever or the busy one, rather than the christian. Just like Abbey is sooner thought of as the angry one/the temperamental one rather than the republican.
  • #184

I figure not including both religion and real world politics is in good interest to avoid a potential ideological shitstorm (well... more anyhow) on the forums.
  • #185

Holly cows batman! My question was answered XD !!! , and it`s great the way you develop the characters Tae ,i really like it, i never think about what was their religion until now.But i think it`s not very important to the plot,i hope.

And talking about JazXPaulo , i really like the relationship, i hope Paulo´s feelings don´t screw it,and i don´t know why people don´t like JazXPaulo.

I never took it that it was specifically that you despise characters that have religions, but I get that you'd want to avoid it in the sense of maintaining some distance between associating your characters with something so far removed from the actual experience of the comic. I don't mind that it's started showing that some characters DO have religions, especially if only privately so. But I guess what I'm grateful for is that you don't seem to toy with it as I've seen a lot of other webcomics do: "such and such character is secretly Muslim / Jewish don't let his or her friends know!" or "look at the wacky Christian with their wacky Christian antics!" It's kind of hard to express exactly what I appreciate about this. Maybe it's just some broader sense of neutrality in regard to handling it as a subject.

I thought it was Paulo at first, and I was confused. Then I realized it was tagged paulo's dad.

Aw... I didn't think Paulo's father would be so sad.
I mean, of course he would be kind of sad, being single...
but never like this. :(

Do any of the BCB cast's parents have names?

We do know the names of Abbey's parents and foster parents, but that's because they're relevant to his story.

Paulo's dad really loved his ex-wife (who left him for another guy) and still isn't completely over her yet.

As for David's mom being an option: David would totally be down for it, however his mom doesn't feel like dating.
