It came to a final thing that I won't be making the cartoons, main reason is because of the forum itself. Not one of those forums to give me a big happy smile. Am I going to spit out reasons? No due to violation of the forum rules. I will however atleast finish that small example animation.

Guess I will be the first one to say it in this case.

You see Jeff, every so often a new user appears and tries to start some kind of animation project regarding BCB, and looking for voice actors from the get go. Nothing ever gets made.

One thing that you have in favor though, is that you did provide an image, and I actually can say "That's really not bad at all!". But the problem I have with this is that drawing a single frame and animating are two very different worlds. If you draw every frame like that, it would take you ages just to make a short animation. I doubt you can draw like that in less than 10 minutes, and even then... lets say it takes you 5 minutes, after an hour you would have a mere 12 frames... or half second of animation at 24 FPS (1 second if you do 12 FPS).

A good alternative I can suggest is to use flash. The animation would look like... flash, but at least it would be much faster to animate than making each individual frame. Besides, there are some pretty good flash animations out there regardless, I guess it's all about skill. So if you don't know flash, go look up a guide, experiment and learn to animate with it well.

And well, I guess that's all I can say. The idea is "Show then ask" so, try making at least the animation, just the animation for the first comic page, so you can get a feel of what animating it would actually be like, and then put in on here! People will be much more willing to help once they see you're actually working on it.

Btw before people start piling on with their voice-acting suggestions, can you find a way to not get a voice actor to make Lucy sound like raven? :\ not to be mean to Tabris but it seems she's now the poster-child for Lucy's voice even though her voice is all wrong wrong wrong wrong.

Lucy's voice has and always will be confusingly soft and melodic. She is a contradiction. She does not have a raspy tomboyish voice like Misty or whatever.

It's just so hard wanting to care about watching all these projects when the main is completely wrong. Not just "oh I GUESS I can see that" but just totally wrong.

Mike with something like, well, I can't explain it, but not exactly like a "Cool" boy's voice because that is Paulo's. Also somewhat to where is isn't like watching the children show "Author" with the cheesy background music too.

Don't worry on anything, trust the Asian, uless you also want to help pick out the voices. Then I could simply send you the voices. I can filter some of them to where there is no buzzing sound, but it is alot of work. Make tweaks with the pitch too.

Do you mean Maka's dub voice or japanese voice? I'm curious about hearing it! I'm trying to find it on youtube.

well, i see what your doing here and i have to say this. like any other project, you need commitment. before, there were a couple people that tried to start up their own audio BCB comic (me being one of them) needless to say, most of them failed. only two people have ever succeeded in creating it, and uploading it.

only one of them has lasted long. but that's enough of the history lesson, look what i'm saying is that you need to have commitment if you actually want this to last. if you don't wanna do it then no one will. brace yourself for the project will be a difficult one. so with that i can only tell you...good luck my friend, i hope you succeed or atleast feel satisfied.

Thank-you for the comment! This also better than attempting BCB the videogame. Would be awesome to play, but takes years to make 3D models, alot of scripts, hiring music designers, cutscene animators, make a different story, ect.

Maka's voice isn't very fitting, as I said before Lucy has a soft and melodic voice, which is why it's a bit confusing that her general demeanour is angry and bitter, that is the entire reason Zachary was confused. Everyone is really used to her voice, but Zachary felt whiplashes.

Like Chii from Chobits?

This has been the voice Taeshi has said fit Lucy the most as a found voice actor.

I can't say if she's still available to perform it, but if Tae's feeling are still the same on this it's a good guide for looking for someone to do it.

I never said I would quit, did I? I said I might, but It would require removing this post or never posting here again.

Just a part of it, not all, because it's the main story that counts. I will still put alot of work into the demo animation.
I am also doing this because I am very inspired by Edd Gould [RIP], and MikeInel, and Zeurel, and Unkown-Person, and all of those other great animators who have worked their butts off to see the fun of animation... Except for MikeInel, several pictures of his art is making him seem a little more bosnian than having fun lately. Also using several different songs that makes me energetic.

As for voice actors, I will have to animate the characters and lip-sync them first, then ask for any possible ones (might ask Teashi who she recommends), and lip-sync again to fit everything.

So... that's all the info I have for now...

Also, each chapter is an episode. So that's a reminder.

There should be a rule about these kinds of posts. Please don't announce a project unless you have made something to show.

Just as I was very happy partially finishing the demo. Now that only made me more stressed somehow...

If you want something, here is part of the work I have been doing (1/4 of the project I planned until I now feel stressed, and partially emotional as usual).
Just be glad the song isn't some hard techno music.

So if you have Flash Player, go ahead and watch it. I'll finish it some other time when I feel productive...
