What would you choose to be socially acceptable?

Gasp, 50 Fighter's a...black person? Shh, everyone stop, their vision is based on movement.
Yeah Fighter, I always thought African American was kinda silly. They're not all from Africa, first off, and it also gives this connotation that they're less American than just a white person. I don't have to call myself Italian American or Irish American. Why do you have to be reminded you live her because you're black?

Variation on "nigger", evoking stereotypical African tribal chanting, dancing etc. Although very offensive today, many people wouldn't have regarded it as such in the past when it could also just mean "idiot".
"Straight outta the banana tree,eh? Well, let me tell ya this, nignog, you go stealing white man's motorcars, you give white man stick. Right?" -

You didn't know I was a nig.....black guy? Thought everyone here knew that by now.
Anyway, I think it's because way back when we got freed and shit, they were all like "Ahhh we gotta make dem negro knockers fell better about being her in EMEEEERICA les call dem African ERMERRRRICANS so dey feel like dis is der new houze"
And black people were like
"Who the fuck cares, just treat us like you white folk ya damn stupid honkey people, or we goan keep impregnating yo women"
Edit" Say nig-nog as much as you want, there is no way anyone would hate you, I find it hilarious myself.

Edit: Oh, really? "Hey guys, I can still say it, it's okay! One of them said it's okay!"
Going off a previous post, I wish graffiti was more widespread. Good graffiti mind you, not just crappy tags done in 5 seconds. I'd love to see more Banksy-esque work here in the states, but I love the elaborate tagging and murals too. You don't want something tasteless all over your place of business of course, but bridges and concrete walls? Then it's just free art.
I actually did an homage to Banksy on a wall of my high school after I graduated, a 9 foot tall portrait of my vice principal (who looks just like the dad from American Pie), holding his iconic clipboard. It was done in all red and white, with "OBEY" underneath. They didn't think it was funny. Frowny face.

On topic again. I wish it was socially acceptable to still like to go to Chuck E Cheese after the age of 12 and not be thought of as a loser or a pedophile.

Yes back on topic. Socially acceptable to be socially acceptable. This sound strange I know but nowadays if you fit in or are "normal" than you're the weird one. You gotta have a certain style to you or it's wrong you know, you have to fit in to one of the clicks.

I wish it was more socially acceptable to be a girl in society. I guess that sounds weird coming from a guy, but I know a lot of girls who are constantly stressed because they get shit for not being 'girly' enough. You shouldn't have to wax every inch of your body, wear a lot of makeup and squeeze into a pantsuit with 'Juicy' across the back just to fit in. Believe it or not, some dudes do prefer the hoodie and sweats with bedhead look.

I'll tell you something I wish wasn't acceptable in society though. Being anorexic. Why does it seem like girls need to get skinnier and skinnier? A friend of mine weighed 70 pounds because she thought she was fat. No one seemed to care that she was wasting away to nothing!

I can relate way more than you realize Fighter. For one, all my friends are tiny lesbians. Swear to God, last time I went out it was nine lesbians under 5'5, and me. I think people assume I'm also gay because of that. It doesn't help that I'm an art major who doesn't enjoy sports, but does love cooking, sewing, gardening, children, and animals. I'm pretty much the gayest straight guy ever. I wish that was socially okay.
Edit: Kaxbe, sexually liberated girls are awesome. I'll leave it at that.
Mint: I agree like crazy. I have an anorexic friend, it's really terrible given her past. Now I'm seeing my girlfriend slowly develop an eating disorder because of the environment she's in. Girls need to realize that as guys get older, we're not looking for tits on a pole. Healthy looking to chubby girls are the best, they're soft and cuddly and SO much better. I don't want the Crypt Keeper digging her bony ass into my lap.

Also that look is indeed purty sexy on like 99% of girls.
I feel for you on the anorexic thing. I mean it's a shame for people to feel that they need to lose weight over nothing. Sometimes though all they need is a hug and to tell them they are beautiful.

Hahah, I get what you mean! I have some guy friends that like girly things, and there's nothing wrong with that. There's always that double standard with males and females. Girls can like "manly things" but for most people it's hilarious when it's the other way around. I love that my boyfriend and I can enjoy cute bunnies and puppies and cute things in general :3 He wouldn't admit it in public, though
lol Cosmo is pretty hilarious, I read it too but I've never taken them seriously. All those teen mags and what not in general are pretty hilarious.

And btw, it IS acceptable for guys to do girly things, you just keep doing it. The people who don't make fun of you (or only do in a friendly way) end up being the really awesome people. And the guys and gals who say mean things, they're all jerks, and if you just ignore them they don't matter at all.

For those who talk about guys doing girly things, well, honestly I don't see the problem. Thing is, most people are raised that "guys do this" and "girls do that," which is stupid. Gender shouldn't be a factor in what's acceptable and what isn't. Then again, I have a family consisting of nothing but tomboys, so the line pretty much got blurred for me early on.

Being yourself isn't as much of a problem here, Lux. If anything, most of the people around me are either too stupid to maintain a facade (my aunt penny) or just don't give a shit about it (everyone else).

I have an alternate solution: instead of demanding that the world conform to your sensibilities, you grow the fuck up and quit being a thin-skinned faggot.

And lemme go ahead and add, that having a healthy sense of humor is another thing you gotta have if you're gonna act girly. If people make fun of you, and it's actually funny, laugh at it! If you can't laugh at yourself, then who can you laugh at.

Closely related to that is Aristotle's belief that there should be a monarchy if there is a "god among men." And that "god" should rule. Funnily enough, democracy is both the third best and the very worst form of government in his eyes, depending on how it's carried out.

You're missing the point. You're discriminating based on genes. Which puts you in touchy moral territory: you seem to think that people shouldn't have a chance to live because of something that isn't their fault. There's so much chance-taking in that that it isn't even worth it.

He actually has a good point. We don't need to pass on defective genes, especially not when adoption is an option.
I mean this more from the illness perspective as well. The aggression and poor education thing are a little different.

I know it's not their fault, and that's the problem. It's in their DNA, and that means to get rid of the problem, you'd have to keep them from reproducing and passing on the "bad" genes. It's kinda sad, really, that a lot of the problems in world cannot be solved because the causes are so ingrained in our DNA. I guess DNA manipulation would be a much better alternative, but that a tech we don't have yet. I'd much rather not steralize people, though, so I'll tell my minions to hold off till we perfect that tech
@Purin
I just don't know a better way to explain that, but I agree with what your trying to say (although I don't want Nazis to be socially acceptable)
