Naw, not really, even without aim assist most games controls are great, it's just the hardware that gets most people. That's why we've been using aim assist since the N64. It doesn't allow for as many movements as the pc does, so they instead are forced to give players a little help.

According to Seananners, there are no rules against it, they don't even mention it, I guess it's just a choice.
