Ahsaan's Art

So, I haven't drawn much in a while, but darn it! You all are inspiring me to do so! Look at what your artistic juices have done! >:( Anyway, I'll start off with this one pic...because we haven't heard enough of this already.

Bright colors! On the other hand that took me forever to figure out how to read.

Lol, sorry about that.

Okay, so since everyone is doing it, I think I should upload my real life pic too:

Anyway, I have some small (and pretty bad...) sketches. I hope that makes up for the lack of art I've been posting.

Could you use a scanner? It will make the pics a lot more visible. I like the first page with the eyes and mouth, they look really good. You seem to really want to practice the overall shape of the head, and don't integrate the eyes too much. You seem to keep away from the 'full' eyes that you drew in the second page. Try it though; even if the head looks funky or something, add some eyes and mouth. With more practice, your head will develop to suit the eyes, and you will have a new style!

Thanks for the tips! I really want to focus on the head first of a character. The face and the expression makes or breaks it for me. I'll focus on the eyes more often. And as for a scanner, I think I have one in my other room. I'm gonna scan the next batch of sketches next time if they're not digital.

It's been a while since I've posted some artwork on this thread. So here ya go!

Those eyes would look fantastic with some use of smudge tool
Lend me one of those eyes and I could show you a bit ;)
Then, well done on those faces :D

Hey, thanks! :D

Spoiler

Here... a Soft Cover Smudge tool I used a bit on the eyes in the last pic :D
Just in case, what program do you use as art editor? :O
  • #12

I use Paint.net, but I think I'm gonna get a new program. It's not all that great for art. Thanks by the way! 8-D
  • #13

HEY! I use Paint.Net TOO!
You must download some plugins in order to make it alike a real Photoshop thing. BUT instead of all those difficult-usage photoshop tools, they are really EASY ones :smirk:
The problem is, there are SO many plugins in the Paint.Net Forum it is difficult to choose which are really useful. If ya want, I could show you how to make Paint.Net improve in a thing or two with the plugins I use the most :D

I actually have a ton of plugins, but maybe I don't have the right ones. >3<
Which ones do you mainly use?
  • #15

Smudge, Bevel Selection, Color Balance, Ink Sketch (I don't know if this came with Paint), Grim Color Reaper... I think they are the most used :smirk: Which I love are Grim Color Reaper and Bevel Selection
I could zip them to you if you want :D

I think I have all, except Grim Color Reaper. Lol, epic name. XD
  • #17

Grim Color Reaper is useful for taking out at full quality the outside color of the characters for making PNGs with Alpha (or Transparency XD)
I'd recommend you to try copying your imaged drawings (scanned or photographed) and try the Line tool Posted Image on them in a higher Layer :D because you draw really good at pencil and paper, so digitally lined and colored may look much better

I like the stargazing one a lot. :D It's so happy.

Also, Mika for the win! <3

@RC! Thank you! I was going for a sort of happy feeling!

@Katara My scanner is in the other office, but I think I could save them on a flash drive and put it on this computer. Thanks for the suggestion! 8-D

Just finished another picture. I'm trying to find my distinct style, so I'd like some critique on this one. Also, I'm thinking to choose one as my new avi. If it's a bit bad, I can just leave it on here and get to work on another drawing. Domo arigato!

That looks seriously awesome and I think the only thing you have to do is just figure out if you can give him a neck since the collar awkwardly covers it but oh man that's so awesome.

...I'm...I-I'm crying tears of joy....on the inside.....where it'll stay wet forever. ;_____;
THANK YOU! Seriously, I didn't think you'd like it that much! Thank you, again! 8-D

No problem, because really that just looks great. Meme-worthy even. Especially with the background.
  • #23

This one's just a simple drawing. It's not as good as the last drawing though, because I'm still trying to find my style. ;____;
