So how is it so far?

WKCE: Did pretty well, from what I feel. Wish I didn't have annoying people around me talking about my fringe covering my right eye and how I'm cute and stuff. It's annoying as hell, but I cranked out some good work.

MAPS: I scored the 2nd highest on English and 3rd on Math, and my test started as a college level exam, while the ones that beat me started at eleventh grade level testing. (It's kind of a confusing system. It's based on where you last left off when you last took the test, since you take it multiple times. It moves up and down in difficulty depending on how well or poor you are doing. However, it is fixed on a number, so it's not really fair to all, since it measures a factor of achievement but not academic knowledge at it's core.) Overall, I'm the one of the top students, having better scores then all 9th and 10th graders, and nearly all 11th and 12th graders.

Math: Did good the first marking period, the second marking period we had a teacher absent for 3 weeks, and continuing. I'm basically teaching the class, with her having a sub and worksheets.

Seriously, I mean, at least keep to one subject! Where jumping from all types of arithmetic, and right now I'm helping the class with basic trigonometry, intermediate geometry, intermediate-advanced algebra, and beginner calculus.

At least what we get on our third period will be what we get on our second period, which means I just need to ace this period and I'm great.

English: All As and A pluses on essays~ We have the best teacher, too~

Spanish: I barely did shit. I need to get an A on both the third period and the final exam to average out to about a C.

Chem: I'm really absorbing the info. I got a C the first time, and now I got a B.

Phy Ed: A, then a B for not dressing due to the misplacement/loss of my gym attire.

History: I don't know. I think I got a B or C the first period. I don't know about the second period yet. The third period is going to suck, due to the most retarded project we have to do.

I hope I can transfer out into a real class that teaches me.

Tests (in general): Really well. Always an A or B, or advanced.

Honor roll is somewhat hard to get on this year...

LET'S ALL TALK ABOUT OUR INCREDIBLE CREDENTIALS.

OUR INCREDENTIALS.
  • #2

The way things are marked and worth in the program + school that I'm in makes it really hard to give a accurate assessment of my success. I'm in IB (International Baccalaureate). It's a program that is meant to prepare students for university specifically. It is international, so there is a certain list of topics and concepts that must be covered by every school with the program, on top of the province's diploma requirements. This means that each school must have it's own specialized curriculum in order to cover the areas required. For example, in my school we do grade 9+some grade 10 concepts in grade 9, grade 10+some grade 11 concepts first semester and grade 11+some grade 12 concepts in the next semester of grade 10. I'm in grade 11 now, and doing a mix of the rest of grade 12 and university math over the year. In grade 12 we are done with math (and french, which follows a similar structure). Chemistry is insane, the teachers simply take all the topics that need to be covered over the two years (gr. 11+12, IB+provincial) and find the best way to fit all of them in. It is really crammed in. The advantage of IB, apart from the international status that helps a ton for applications in the US and Europe, is the conversions. Right now, I have something in between a 60% and 63% in Chemistry. This is only because it is nearly impossible (unless you don't need sleep or a social life) to be able to learn all of this quickly enough. That's where the conversion come in; this mark is converted to somewhere in between a 80% and a 85% (still not good, but I was never good at chem). Same for other subjects (different conversion factors for each). This is what my english teacher taught the class on the first day:

Considering I also swim, that took all my sleep.

Social Life and good grades.
I only sleep for about 3-5 hours, so I think I have that covered...

It's near the end of the semester, and all six of my courses have "A" letter grades.
  • #11

I chose the bottom two. I don't regret it.
  • #12

He's saying no one likes you, pretty sure. Or something to that effect. I don't know.

Anyways, I'm in college, so I'm superior to all of you. Now bow to me.

And I have perfect marks.

I do regret putting so much effort into getting good grades. They used to be pretty excellent.

I'm in college too Minty.

Am I superior to you? Are you superior to me? Only time will tell I guess. We're pretty likely the same, just taking different routes, if you catch my drift.

No, I won't bow. =)

Good job Sushi.

Zoe, why yes, yes I am. But no seriously, if you took my joke literally, I feel bad for you.
  • #16

Haha, actually no, but I feel it's actually more fun to play along.

Gym 93.16/A
Study Hall (Nothing)
Math 83.74/B (Note: She was gone for Sem 2 for most of the time due to illness, so sem thee and second sem will be bundle together)
Lunch (Nothing)
Spoiler

Chemistry 71.39/C (I thought I had a B now. Mah bad. I really should work on not being absent so much.)
Spanish 59.18/U (I barely do shit in there.

(Also, she takes off my test score for people cheating off of me. They look over, I tell her that they are cheating, and I get in trouble! That's bullshit! I don't want people cheating of my test. Put me in the corner by myself, or something.)
English 93.43/A (Best teacher, but there are some really annoying bitches around me.

(She sings really well, even though she smokes a lot.)
US History 74.72/C (It's probably going to go down due to the fact that I learn nothing and I'm not doing the "big project.")

(93 percent is an A for Honor/Pre-Ap/AP classes.
(83 percent is a B for Honor/Pre-Ap/AP classes.
(So forth.)

Well, eSIS is either updating or being retarded, so I'll do the rest later, and repost the newer stuff if it rises up.

Though Minty is superior and I bow to the greatness that is MintyLimeGreen.

Oh Fighter I love you. :-*

I really hope no one takes me seriously in that though. I am not that much of a bitch. I am, however, a bitch. Just not that big of one.

Oh yeah we're talking about grades here not our blossoming...nevermind...*ahem*

My grades were ok. I did well in everything but Science and Math

English A-
Math Shift between C+ to D
Science Solid C-
Social Studies B+
Political Science A
History A
Health A

That's pretty much all I remember.

I'm shootin' for higher then the HIV test.

You know what sucks? Being that guy that gets terrible grades and then everyone says,
"He has so much potential!" "He's so smart! Why doesn't he do his work?" "You're the smartest guy I know, how do you get such bad grades?"
In other words, chronic procrastination is a bitch. :/

As far as grades go... Fs in most core classes, with a B or a C mixed in there somewhere, and As in everything that doesn't assign homework. ._.
