Ahh, one thing that I'll never get tired of is good old Sonic style characters. While I'm not exactly talented in this area yet, I recommend adding some background to the drawings. That's my only critique.

The classic sonic fancharacters... Well, we all gotta start somewhere.

I think your lineart and colouring is pretty great, but some of the proportions look kinda off (because believe it or not, there are proportions in the "Sonic style"). For example, their heads look too big for their bodies, especially the first one.

Another thing is since he is going to be your main character in the fan comic, you might want to consider simplifying his design. There is too much detail for something that will have to be drawn a lot of times.

Spot on my good sir....though I have no idea who you are.

Thank you to everyone for their critique. It'll really come in handy.

Usually when I think Sonic fancharacter, I think very crappily drawn Microsoft Paint characters. I'm actually surprised you took time to develop your own style, and I'm honestly impressed with the quality of those two drawings.

This is, of course, coming from a guy who gave up on Sonic after the Sega Genesis died.

OooO... Sonic characters. I wasn't expecting much that's actually a fair job you've done there. Do like.

I agree with the detail problem, that took you two days to do, right? Well, say a page has 6 panels but is mostly faces and a simple background. Just a basic "talking head" conversation between two characters with the amount of detail you have included will propably take three and a half days, and that's without any dynamic movement or extreme backgrounds (ie, little "story", if you will). Just something to consider.

Thanks alot for all the critique guys. This is the most caring any forum has ever shown. ;~;

I have since changed Marcus's design a bit so that not much detail is required. At least not so much. And I've been doing proportional practice too so i'll be updating very soon.

You'll be making a comic right? Maybe you should run it by your friend, particularly if you end you trying to make money out of it and such. Words of wisdom from a, now homeless and sued, story writer (no, I am not really a homeless and sued write. I'd have to be good at writing for that.)

When I said he was "pretty much mine", I meant that he was only used by me.
My friend owns him, but gave permission and use of him to me. It was his idea to add him in the comic, and I thought it was a kickass idea.

Cover Art for Issue/Chapter 1

Welp, almost there(this term is wearing thin). Erased is in its final stages before release. This here is a W.I.P. of the cover on issue/chapter 1. Hope I can get some critique.

You're pretty damn good at drawing Sonic characters.
Kudos, keep up the good work.
The only think that bugs me, is that the proportions aren't always matching the perspective.

Thanks alot! I know my proportioning needs work, but practice makes perfect. Plus, I think I've gotten a bit better. I'll be updating in the next day or so.

Your poses seem kind of stiff, but for Sonic characters I actually quite like them considering what I usually see for the Sonic fandom. Try to make your characters flow a bit more, that's all I can say for now. I like your pencil work, though. c:
