Ahh, large companies. Gotta love 'em.

What the hell, PayPal.

Jesus fucking Christ on a cracker. Charity is not a "worthy cause?"

You know that guy is gonna get fired as soon as the PayPal higher ups hear about this.
  • #3

The paypal higher ups made the decision. They'll just fire him to save face.

Also, this is the person who runs regretsy. Clearly with all of her voice acting roles on popular programs that undoubtedly paid her a shitload of money, she must be scum running a scam.

Clearly she is wrong how dare someone try to give some money to much needed families for Christmas, that's silly. Give toys to kids that might not have a Christmas either, just something. Clearly doing good in this world is wrong and we all should stop trying.

(Please tell me you all can tell this is sarcasm.)

I feel inclined to say this is probably biased in some way, but looking at big business, as well as from what I've seen heard of with PayPal... yeah, sounds pretty plausible.

Whole thing seems nicely resolved though, what with Paypal freaking out and donating 100 dollars to every family they were going to give money to.

Fuck donating to children through PayPal when you can donate to something worthwhile, like the KKK :/

That kind of sounds like a big-company move right there.

"Sorry for [insert violation here] your [Insert event/item/etc], here's [Insert a sum of money]."

Also, it's not only the fact that a single man could ruin a few hundreds, if not thousands, of Christmas Holidays for young, developing children, nor that a single company can rally an outrage from their own consumers (Which many do today, anyways), I'm just really appalled at the way they treated the inconvenience. Completely ignoring the fact that they most likely feel that it's more of an inconvenience for the company, and not the large groups of kids who lack the Christmas love that families would happily lavish them with if they could. Which the company didn't let them. Who probably found that a problem for themselves.

Either way, all they truly did was my original post up above: "Sorry, here's your money."
I know they can't do much more than print out an apology and send some currency to go with it, but after this event, it should be important (Because, obviously, it wasn't to the agent) that many of their workers complete their jobs to the full extent, especially since there are probably many people who would gladly take their place...If they haven't already been offered one at a lower rate in this struggling economy.

Now, what? What else can we do but criticize the fact that yet another company made a mistake? Not much, really. But I personally believe that the road we're headed down isn't appealing at all, more or less any gruesome than the state we're in already. More or less of these companies who provide for the people but care for themselves.

This is sad and I am honestly unsuprised. Our world wide society has begun a steep decent to the bottom and I don't see much chance for pulling out of this nose dive. The incentive of self no longer lies in the well being of the community, but rather in the pockets of a bureaucracy ladened company. In the past such donations could go unimpeded for the most part yet unfortunately today's society is clearly to far gone to have a sense of common decency, morality, or humanity. Anyone who had a hand in this atrocity should be ashamed of themselves. That's my opinion on it and I admit it is higly biased as I have seen examples of similar such shameful activities in the past.
