At the risk of starting a topic that someone else already came up with somewhere or another, I have to wonder, do any of the main characters ever get last names? I admit, it's been a while since I read the entire comic all the way through, but I was just thinking about it today, after rereading this page:

In the 2nd to last panel, the principal calls Tess "Ms. Tessa Canning". So she has a last name. Then "Alec McCain" is McCain's full name. Those two characters have last names, but they are fan-characters. Do only fan-characters get last names? Are there any other characters that have last names?

Mike's last name is shown to start with S in this page. They all have last names, but they're not really important. Fancharacters get the last names because their original creators gave them to them.
