ti produces art and doesnt afraid of anyone
Okay, but on a more serious note:
Are you an artist?
Do you enjoy drawing on a graphics tablet?
MyPaint could be the right choice for you!
Boasting an infinite canvas, quick-customizable brushes with loads of pre-sets and a bunch of functions you'd expect from a free application specially developed for digital drawing and painting such as layers, thirteen ways of changing the currently used colour, dockable panels and a very tiny interface, it's perfect for random sketching and massive masterpieces alike!
---------------------
On an even more serious note MyPaint 1.0 just got released less than a month ago and it's a pretty decent digital drawing program and especially the infinite canvas makes it a good choice - you could for example draw a sketch in MyPaint, export it and load it up in your favourite graphics editor without having to worry about resizing the canvas since you've already got the correct size.
Or something.
I personally like it. Check it out if you're interested.

Arigato gozaimasu! I was really looking for something like this. I've had Paint.net for a while, but I've seen to grow out of it. I wanted to use PaintTool SAI, but right now the money is out of reach. This seems great! Domo arigato!

Please don't japanese, seeing romaji hurts my aesthetic sense and I while I can read kana, I can't read kanji, nor do I know any actual japanese words.

Well since I started using SAI like 3 years ago, I havent been able to successfully switch to another program without going right back to SAI within a couple hours, but I figure I can give it a shot later this week

Ordered a Wacom Bamboo Create Pen Tablet (CTH670), anyone has it/ used it, and know any issues with it? (not that it will change anything; I already ordered it, but still)
Also, it comes with the following programs:
This will be my first try with digital art, so is anything missing? What should be used for what? Any advice?
Also, it comes with the following programs:
- Corel Painter Essentials
- Adobe Photoshop Elements
- Nik Color Efex Pro WE3
- Autodesk Sketchbook Express
- Evernote

PS Elements is a rather stripped-down program, you might want to look into getting a license of the actual proper version in case you want to do some photoshopping. Otherwise I'd suggest, well, the program this thread is about, plus GIMP. Don't know about Corel Painter or Autodesk Sketchbook though.
