hmm, that was convenient timing.
I recently finished reading "An Idiot Abroad: the travel diaries of Karl Pilkington", which was written whilst filming the TV show of the same name. In it, karl writes about his visits to the various wonders of the world, from the ancient to the modern. As is common of his characteristic routine, Pilkington demonstrates a very simplistic viewpoint of the world, seemingly entirely missing the point of why these are considered "wonders". Whilst occasionally amusing, I felt that the book had recieved much less effort than his previous works, suck as his first travel diary, "happyslapped by a jellyfish", and seemed to be purely a moneygrab on the behalf of Ricky Gervais and Sky, the producers of the show.
