Project BCB#539

I asked her personally.she doesn't care whether or not it gets animated but she is flattered that we try and she takes it as a compliment.

dude I'm really sorry about how long this is taking me, I've got so much homework and i'm neglecting other stuff to help you out.
  • #51

Oh, I was feeling a tiny bit dissapointed before but now I'm ok.

Dont worry, if I interfered with school buissness of any of those who are helping me, I'd feel very gulty. So if you need off feel free to do so, i would do the same in your case.
  • #52

Okay I'm done bitching. i have more free time and I'm almost done. I have the the background split into 2 layers. the the foreground trees/pathway and the background trees. the fore ground is completed so now I need to do the rest of the background (the bushes, and further away trees.)
  • #53

I Finished I'm not sure how to send it to you but I think I'll figure it out.
  • #54

In the email add attachments (the paperclip)

I'll add the color and the effects and other mambo jambo, post two versions for to discuss which looks better and the storyboard from the suggestions made here
(obviously I'll scan my on drawings since Im adding sequences and angles that aren't in the comic also its faster better not to waste time on things like that)
Afterwards discuss and script the lines out the first chapter to time an sync the lip movement and other things that are imperative to keep on.
  • #55

sounds great so I'll just sit tight?
  • #56

Im very sorry I've havent been keeping you updated on what I was doing but I haven had time to do great deal, there was a family issue and others stuff I'd prefer not going into detail, which has delayd me a week or two

No, you're not sittng, well aside from what you have to(uhhh...) I need you to do the same you did with the background but now with lucy's room ,Ill be waiting. Tommorow I'll post the animation storyboard I've done.

An animation stroboard is different from a regular storyboard, the anmation storyboard shows the seuqeuce and flow of the movements, but, the regular storyboard explains the story and camera view.

Edit: Maybe not tomorrow i dont want to show you a rushed out work let me finish it and then I'll show you it on sunday.

well. I won't make you any promises. but i could probably get it done in 2 weeks time. I'll shoot for 1 week though. this is a pretty bad time of the year for me to be working on such projects. normally during the summer I'd have it done in 1-2 days.

also which panel do i work from or do i have to come up with something?
  • #58

First, I'm really really sorry that Im not done with the story board yet, but I made some horrible mistakes with the inking and I have to redraw the pages, this is why I should bought the tablet, not that I could. Anyway, its easy now that I have the idea its just to copy them but it may take more time than intended, again sorry for that as a man I'll keep my word and there's no excuse after my long and boring presentation, I'll keep my promise and animate BCB.

But, after the the next audio comic since i cant voice anything well maybe I can but you may not want to even hear of me.

@Taletedathrofreak same 'ere, I get ya' no problem. about the panels, panel 1 and 5

note:
I understand if youre getting imapacient but my new computer will delivered in a month or so.

Well you picked a bad time to tell me, Because i'm going to state choir Thursday-Saturday, and I probably won't be getting any backgrounds done then, but with as slow as ur going I figure it won't be much of a problem. I could go to the creative arts forum and see if we could recruit some more animators. but I don't know if they'll join.

You really need a tablet if you want to animate otherwise it's going to take an eternity like were talking 1 year to animate a comic book page. you should get a cheap one, because they will work for the kind of things you and I are doing which is inking which is repetitive and you really can't mess up, I pleased to say my Wacom bamboo pen works fine, it only costed 80 dollars. The great thing about them is their versatility, which it is alright for pressure levels, but it's not great but i don't use such effects. but i do want an intuos, whenever i get that, which will probably be in the next year or so, I'll sell you my tablet for 30 dollars.

Well also it was the way they worked too, also the deadlines were to blame, but the idea was good.
I have macromedia Flash Professional 8(to bad im poor and cant afford the adobe software and I go to piracy) and I can give any one who wants the link to it:

Hi There :D

Flash is very expensive . Sometimes, piracy is the only answer.

just an Idea, but what if we made a short episode. and kept making longer episodes the more animators we get helping us. Voice acting wouldn't be a problem of course but we should keep recruiting as many animators as we can. I recruit people to help me ink and color my comics Occasionally. why would this situation be any different?
  • #63

Ok, finally I finished four of the pages yesterday. Once I've got the free time I'll scan them

Sure is

The fact meleeman got banned, will make things a bit harder, a side from that I thought out a way upgrade the animation, but, it would take money and or taeshis free time (if she had :/)
How?
One word. Commissions
I'll explain if you commision Taeshi to draw young Paulo Daisy and David with the new since lucy's and mike's designs are in all bcb's tumblr but it doesn't have to bee the full body just theyre faces and maybe others after we get past he first episode like a year or so meleeman's banned, I've got no budget and Taeshi could get sick or delayed it might come out bad...

Note: Meleeman might be right, it might take a lot longer, and animating isnt the problem(don't underestimate flash thats its pourpose, its a shortcut to animation)drawing is, since I take a while to draw by mouse and still, the results aren't that great, but, I was planning on getting one at the long shot through a comic Im doing and selling traditionally but it takes alooooot of tiiiiime to get income, also I havet done any new chapters(too many stuff in my hands)

Edit:umm...this is a bit embarrasing to ask..
how do I use the spoilers? I haven't figured it out yet.
Spoiler
Also, which image hosting are supported by the forums? since image shack isnt.

Edit2: five n' counting
Edit3: seven
8! Ive been wondering what should I do if I ever reach another path, aswell as the audio comic, I mean, yiff on youtube? Btw for those why Im faster well I swich from traditional inking to Bic Lr 32 standard alcohol ink pen and I'm tracing the ones that don't require resizing

When the other ones are scanned I'll post them on an edit of this.

I know what Im doing wrong here:

1 Im being constantly idle and late aside that, Im asking for help even if you dont know who I am, or trust me I know it.

2 I talk big, being all, oh, I've done this, I've done that but I barely show any pogress and/or proof of my capabilities.

Since my animtion were nothing near funny or interesting, I refrained myself from uploading them on youtube they were mainly homework or talking sequences.

Thanks to all that I might of bored out every one I cant say I didnt see it coming well so I'll ask you please be patient with me and help Im in the dark here.

I like this storyboard. i think it works well.
  • #66

It looks good. I have been working on storyboards for a different project, and I think you are doing pretty good.

If I may suggest, when you do the animation, maybe I could give you the audio of the audiocomic, if that may help you. How much time until we see some animation? :D

YES, YES, YES, YES, YES!! I really need it since, its impassible to guess exactly the timing during lipsync.
Just wondering, are you gonna give the the one from the present audiocomic, cuz' when I was browsing on on your thread and I happen to learn about a new recording of the first chapter and since the last one had a couple of tecnical issues people(yashy and the skipped lines)maybe it be better to work with that, but, thats just me wondering.

How much more you'll have to wait? well, yesterday my old computer died, so Im stuck with a notebook and computer lab PC's which is really stressfull and un-practical to animate but that aside I was working on the objects like the fan and radio if they could be stationary on layer or or if have to be on the animation layer specifically the fan.
simplified: if the fan should look cartoony un-detailed or cartoony relativile detailed.

So the time I estimate, if I do everything all by myself, without a tablet...... about.....a year and a bit more, though, if I do get the tablet(which are now sold on macstores) and with some help (backgrounds) it might take less time, by a lot.
  • #68

Well, me myself I have the audiocomic on hold, coz I'm having lots of personal issues to deal on now. When you have the animation just send it to me and I will take care of the sound part ;)
  • #69

@volgrand. Man I cant believe I over looked the comment, aside how about you post the animation in the audiocomic's channel...I'm not being sarcastic. But actually I cant animate without the sound so i reeally need the sound first soo... If you don't mind, could you send me those.

Updates the guy was gonna scan the other half of the storyboard is bailing out on me so storyboard for now
Im working on the skeleton animation
And im getting myself a genius tablet in a month so the real deal is soon to begin.

Other from that some douche fought with me and my wrist is hurt.
  • #70

Oh man, all of you must be like, we knew you couldn't or Meh, I didn't even know what was going on, well all I can say is, sorry but for being such a slowpoke but I have alot of work and hardly no free time and a no good computer to do the job and I dont know when I'll have enough for a good one so and it takes me hours to draw with my laggy computer, just the transition from panels 1 to 3 none the less I know you weren't expecting an animation anytime soon, so for now I'll remind you that I live and to tell those from the audiocomic: If you're waiting for me, doubt it, go ahead and upload the chapter, that sure was humble anyway, IT LIVES SPAMITY!! SPAM SPAM Animation is still one of my main projects.

In honor to the now deceased Edd Gould be sure to watch the his last cartoons written before he.. well... you know. He was a hero for many animators including myself So, if you like Eddsworld or atleast randomness click this.

If you don't mind I would like to take your storyboard and work on it. I think even a simplistic animation would suffice. and would show interest for pros. I may be just a hobbyist in animation, and I won't promise anything, but I want to work on it by myself and see what I can do. this storyboard should help alot.
  • #72

Please let this one animation project still be alive in some form. I would love to help.

I'm not sure what I could do, but it looks like most of your problems come with animating and lack of animators and for a while you were looking for some one to do story boards for you.

While I don't know how to use the animation software, given some guidance I could probably learn it. I could also work on the storyboards for you.

P.S: If you need another voice actor i could help, but i am not personally confident in my own voice ability nor my microphone.
  • #73

BUMP!!! Keeping it alive!
BTW If youre meleeman, try not to use the forum to avoid being banned over and over, this Idle Project isn't worth you being banned. PM me, nothing has advanced animation wise, I've got alot of work to do yet.... I'll say hi if somethings up.
  • #74

Oh look another BCB project. May this become the first ever project that survived the wrath of time. And by that I mean goodluck.
