That's pretty cool, considering you're 12. I like the human paulo, though his nose seems to be a tad too low and his left (our right) ear seems odd.

For the PauloXLucy kitten the anatomy seems really off, especially the legs. You've drawn the front legs much bigger than the back ones, and that's not how it really is, and he seems to be floating on his tail, somehow. So you will want to look at references of cat anatomy and proportion to try and make the pose more natural. Having an idea of where the bones go and what their shapes are can really help too, to let you know where you want to make it stiffer and what shape you wanna give to it. Something like this, though you might want to alter it to make it look more cartoonish, so you might be better off with cartoon references, but real animals are always a good place to start.

Keep practicing, you'll become very good if you do.

Okay, it took me a while to break that habit too, but let me give you some advice: ditch the watermarks. I can barely make out that face. It's a shame, because I can tell its good if a little anime-ish, but Watermarks don't do a damn thing beyond making your good drawings look like shit.

The Deviantart logo is in the way dude. Obscures a majority of the picture.

A little flat

Also the hair seems to separate the ear from the rest of the head, you should prob'ly fix that

The eyes and nose should be a bit lower... And the eyes should tilt a bit to give off the impression of the face actually being round

Plus, when you're looking at eyes sideways, remember this

And maybe hair shouldn't be one solid mass
  • #12

okay I'll keep that in mind next time :)
  • #13

Also when I say "tilt" I mean follow the contour of the face

got it ;)

yet we see another character of mine

oh and a note even if this art thread bombs I'm still going to upload on it I may not be a good artist but I draw because I enjoy it

I'd skip out on MS Paint and pick up a tablet plus ArtRage/MyPaint etc. Your hand drawings are fun to look at, but your MS paint pieces are horrendous.

You need to work a little on your ears. They're set too low on some of your characters heads. Take a look at yourself in a mirror. The center of the ears should be more or less horizontal with your chars' eyes.

yes I know my ms paint pics are horrible but when I made that horrible Paulo I hadn't touched ms paint in 2 years

Dude, swearing like that and the big front is kinda annoying.
Alas, you might consider colouring with pencils instead of markers, it's easier to shadow the piece with 'em. And learn to sketch the thing before you ink it, it gives a smother piece. Try looking a lot in mirrors and study other peoples art - and other people so you learn propotions. But I like the sense of action your drawings have, keep that.

Well, then I request a drawing of a girl, cos it seems like you only do boys. :)

  • #30

That razors thing, what inspired it? And could you do another one, maybe a full portrait of one.
  • #31

erm that ay be hard to do because it's based off of a picture i found online

whoops
  • #32

I think you're improving a lot, you seems to be pretty good with traditional art! MS Paint needs some work, but that'll come with practice. Digital never came easy for me either :I

I'd like to make a request for a drawing of my OC's Penny and Xaiver? Lets see how you do with couples pictures~.
