What I would like to happen between now and the ending:

Lucy and Augustus have a very brief fling, until they realize it won't work, and they'll just be friends. Sue's play ends up being a complete fiasco as Lucy and Mike have a tremendous, unscripted fight onstage, with Sandy right there in the audience. The love triangle falls apart when Sandy breaks up with him. None of them end up with each other. Jasmine breaks up with Paulo for some reason and another. What a scene near the ending should be:

Augustus gives Alejandro all the info he's collected over the years. He schedules all of them to meet up in an alleyway or behind some old buildings or something somewhere, where Alejandro and his goons bumrush them, just like in Confrontation. This is more of an idea for a fanfic, though it could work as a great climax to the ending of BCB, but I'd almost like for them to beat a male character up senseless until he's nearly unconscious, then throw him into a nearby body of water, where they then release Lucy to go save that person and force her to confront her fear of water. I'd prefer that male character to be Paulo, since it would mirror the time when he saved both her and Mike from drowning in that river when they were kids. Psychological torture for Lucy and a painful memory for Paulo, Mike, Sue, and David. It also make sense for Alejandro to exploit Paulo's fear of dogs' barking while they're beating him up, just to ensure that his spirit his completely broken, thus making him simply unable to save himself from drowning and forcing Lucy to do it. Of course, Alejandro doesn't have a huge grudge on Paulo. I guess that Mike could be the one beaten senseless instead of Paulo, if Taeshi chooses to have the comic end with LucyxMike, but if Alejandro had more of a grudge on Lucy, then it'd make more sense for him to hurt the person currently closest to her (because I don't think things between Lucy and Mike would still be resolved by this point).

All of that's just speculation, but I think it'd be really interesting and intense. There needs to be at least something with Alejandro at the end. Maybe a character could even end up being killed? I don't know.

• Lucy isn't Augustus' type, he wouldn't want to date her. Also Lucy doesn't trust Augustus. So if they do have a fling, it won't be anytime soon. They'd have to become better friends first.
  
  
• Sandy isn't actually attending the play.
  
  
• Paulo won't have a one-night stand with Tess before she graduates.
  
  
• It has been strongly hinted that Tess won't reappear in the comic after she graduates. There's a reason the recent chapter featuring her was titled "Fade Away".
  
  
• Abbey would never lash out at Daisy. Certainly not physically, and I highly doubt he'd do it verbally. He really loves Daisy, and he definitely doesn't want to be like his father.

As for your suggested ending... keep in mind Augustus graduates at the end of this year, after which he can't really keep tabs on the others anymore. So I think it's more likely the confrontation with Alejandro will happen before then. Besides, Alejandro's no patient criminal mastermind, and that plot point has dragged on for long enough.

I also think Augustus will develop enough grudging empathy for Lucy that he won't want to see her hurt, any more than he would Daisy. And Alejandro did earlier mention that Daisy would be an aid to the plan. So Augustus would then be forced to decide between protecting Daisy and Lucy on the one hand, and his loyalty to Alejandro's gang on the other (with fear of reprisals if he didn't follow through).

Also Alejandro has no reason to specifically force Lucy to confront her fear of water, why would he care about that? Still, even minus the water, I do think that is when Paulo will confront his fear of barking.

here it goes senior year everyone will go to the city for a graduation party at a bar in which a figure is sitting in the background (it's spoilers) lucy will get drunk and hit on mike and piss him off somehow, he'll lash out at her she'll exit the building and the figure will follow her. she will run down the street crying then something will grab her and pull her into the alley.IT'S RAPE CAT who will go on and on about how he has been waiting for this. then he'll push her onto the wall then a voice will go YOU BASTARD he'll turn around and see paulo with an enraged look on his face then Alejandro will say well well well you look so good, all big and bad I see now why don't you just- then paulo will kick his ass and go to help lucy and rape cat will stab him and put a hand over his mouth and talk about how weak he is and twist the knife in his back then rip it out then paulo will scream in agony and fall to the ground and bleed as Alejandro say's: you know i was gonna do so much to watch you suffer but this.. this is true revenge, then he shall walk away and laugh everyone will run out and say that they heard a scream then everybody will go silent and daisy will begin to cry

Yeah but I can't imagine everyone actually going along with it, like Sue, Abbey, Daisy would absolutely not. Mike and Lucy are unlikely too, and David drinking? Good God no, not to mention the last time Paulo got drunk at a club...

Granted, Paulo did have the intention of getting nailed anyway, and he was completely sober the next night with Rachel.


Keep in mind David's idea of "spiking the punch" was putting actual spikes in it, so chances are he isn't too familiar with the use of alcohol (of course, an inability to grasp a metaphor like that is probably the main reason why he put thorns in Tess's punch).

Oh, supposedly Tess does drink *a bit*, but I doubt she'd get the main cast involved.

Lucy is abandoned by her friends and driven to indulge in the dark arts. Unfortunately her pain and loneliness cause the darkness to turn against everyone and the entire town becomes forever swallowed by her nightmares.

Yesssss, please can that be it?

The final boss is her angst over Mike.

Hmm... this is less "the end", but more of a prediction of what will happen later. For Mike: Sandy will end up moving away to Europe or something, causing Mike to want to die, so he seeks help from Lucy. For Lucy: she tries to have a close relationship with Augustus, but he doesn't want it. She seeks help in others. For Daisy: her relationship with Abbey seems fine. For Abbey: his relationship with Daisy seems fine. For Sue: the reason she made Mike and Lucy the heads in the play is because she tries to get them to reconcile, and either 1: Mike and Lucy have to kiss for the play, 2: some other kind of romantic thing happens, or 3: Mike and Lucy either fight then reconcile, or just reconcile because of the play. For Paulo: who is he with right now? Jazmine? Yeah, that seems fine. For McCain: someone yells at him to shut it. In general: the play is a huge success, and MikexLucy forever.

Why not just ask Taeshi?

Oh right, spoilers.

The sun continues to increase in intensity over the course of hundreds of billions of years, eventually heating the planet's surface to the point where complex life is no longer possible. Eventually the seas begin to boil away, leaving a charred rock floating around an increasingly large and luminous sun.

Just a handful of predictions.

• Taeshi implements interesting plot twists and uncracks crack-pairings (MikexMike, et al), fanbase still upset at no Mikex??? and continue to ship.
  
• S.S. MikexLucy has long since been sunk into the bottom of the Mariana Trench; however, fanbase hold back tears and onto shreds of hope.
  
• All characters become realistically proportioned, fanbase gets more upset and claim characters are fat.
  
• Updates continue to sometime not happen exactly at midnight, people still making stupid comments about it.

Lucy's emotional dependency remains unresolved. She ends up with Paulo in a double-wide trailer, having a family of seven kids that feeds on instant noodles for brunch and dinner. Paulo occasionally provides leftover pop-tarts from his minimum wage job. Yashy will remain aggressive, refusing Paulo in Flea's place.

Mike moves to Rickter there he can finally live with Sandy. Sandy's parents are not pleased by the diminishing attention she really needs to maintain her career and studies. Her parents gives her an ultimatum to break up with Mike or else she will lose their support. Sandy refuses. For economical reasons they needs to move back to Roseville and live in a trailer park, having Lucy and Paulo as their neighbors. The two couples becomes really good friends as their white trash community expands. At one point they all gets heavily intoxicated, resulting in them trying out some swinging.

David joins NASA and gets selected as an astronaut when he passes their training program. He participates in the first manned mission to Mars, becoming the first dog who sat his foot on the martian surface. Upon the completion of the mission, David wants to tell his best friend about his achievement, conveniently materializing next to Paulo when he is carelessly inflating his family.

Daisy turns out to be a really competent doctor and later becomes motivated in revolutionizing feline augmentation technology. She saves her relationship when successfully performing the world's first neuroprosthetic genital implant on Abbey.

Alternate Ending
Sandy's parents severs her connection with Mike. They later pairs their daughter with a Russian Blue super-model. Upon graduation, Mike is dressed in a trenchcoat as he starts to walk away toward the wilderness, never looking back. Being a natural born survivalist, he lives through by chomping raw fish and drinking his own piss.

I hope the ending is completely mundane. Like it ends in a way where one can easily imagine what would happen next because of natural flow of life. Down to earth and humbling, but in a self-loving way. But if that can't be achieved without forcing it in a unnatural way in terms of plot flow, then fuck it; ultimately it ends the way it ends regardless of what I feel.
