SKYRIM: Your 5 top favorite followers

I've been playing The Elder Scrolls 5 Skyrim lately, well for hours, great game.
Forget about those annoying joke made by the internet users, Arrow to the knee, FUS RO DAH here and there.

I would like to talk about, to those who played and enjoyed TES V Skyrim, who is, in this game are your top 5 favorite companion to travel with during your adventure?
It can also be that Call Dragon companion or a spectral
Here are my top 5:
1. Mjoll the Lioness - She is GREAT. She is an essential character means not able to die, she can be equipped with strong armor so armor + her great two hand skills equals to a win.
Mjoll can equip a given staff and to use in battle. She has repetitive dialogues, but she is a very good follower to have.

2. J'zargo - This khajiit is badass, burn yourself to earn him as follower? YES. Wear armor and cast magic? Oh yeah. He is able to level up with you somehow, a most useful follower to help
you in battle. He got a good destruction skill level, and stays away from my weapon swinging around the enemy and supports from far. Sometimes you feel like you want him to be Kharjo instead
3. Cicero - All may find this guy annoying, and would just want to kill him. But I didn't, he proved to be a great stealth partner if you ignore his voice.
4. Aela the Huntress - She is a pretty good archer to have along, she saved my butt from far away enemies when I was about die. I recommend her for lower level players.
5. Lucien Lachance - HE DEAD

You don't have to type out about why you like this follower, just names is okay. But I like to share my thoughts.
Would like to hear replies (:

Possible spoilers.
Honestly i never really used followers in the game all they seem to do is die or never be around during a fight.

He is counted. It's nice to hear that you have at least that badass guy. He was my sixth favorite in game

I traveled with Lydia for a while. Then she died.

I had Erandur, from the nightmare quest in Dawnstar, for a long while. He had both magic and hand-to-hand training. That meant he was awesome.

And I would vote Aela. Largely due to side boob action.

Those were the only side kicks I used in game, though occasionally I would get someone as a companion so I could pay for training, access their inventory and take my money back. That was fun.

I still have Lydia...she's died about 10 times(getting in my way) and I keep having to load the most recent save. :nope:

I never keep followers. They die too easily under my watch. XD

Lydia died by a spider boss. Then there was that one elf guy who helped you gather information on dragons at that one party. He dies SOOOOOO easily.

Well, I've never used followers, other than Lydia for a short while, until I realized how easily she died.
Now I keep her hulled up in Breezehome so I can backstab her for sneak exp every once in a while. I might start using them again later, who knows, since I have yet to complete a good part of the main story.

Lydia is probably the most popular follower to die first really. That's why I vote mjoll as best follower to have

I hate all followers because I only use a bound bow and I only have 100 health and 0 defence.

I avoid using followers since I tend to swing wild wth my greatsword. Add in the 2 haded perk for AoE and it became a friendly-fire massacre.

I remember having dogmeat and Fawkes in Fallout 3. Since they're scaled to your level, it got to the point where they would merc people past my line of sight before I even knew they existed. It got a little old never actually killing anyone, that and I got sick of the PEWPEWPEWPEWPEWPEWPEWPEW from Fawkes' fucking spinning laser gun.

I remember starting out with Lydia, funny story, when I was climbing one of the snowy mountains with a word of power nearby we got attacked by a snow troll, I was pretty low level and incapable of taking it out easily so Lydia took most of the heat, she got downed A LOT, not dead, just downed. I was running around shooting fire at it and running when I lost magicka. Then she died and I just leveled up to dual casting, then made one toasty snow troll. Oddly enough her death and the amount of time that took made that troll seem like some sort of epic boss.

I stopped using followers after that.

Fawkes usually takes away all the fun by kill stealing especially when you're already level 20 when first met and earn him as follower, so I avoided him. Dogmeat enjoys eating my every bullets that I have shot, therefore dies after 20 minutes when I first met him. Yeah does that mean you avoid followers in Skyrim.

Lydia is basic lower level type of follower, I would recommend Aela the Huntress, J'zargo or Mjoll The Lioness. All three of them usually had a very hard time dying. J'zargo is the only follower that levels up with you according to the wiki page. I've tried many followers to comfirm this.

Don't use 'em personally. Think they're too retarded to be of any actual use.

Also very tempted to say this should be in the Video Game thread, but eh.

I don't think this should go to the Video Game thread because there is meant to talk about different games and such, this is specifically for The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim and about the followers in this game. Also, I don't get why there are replies saying that they hate followers, this is about your top 5 followers, means you actually need to have some experiences with some followers in Skyrim that give you top 5. But eh

I had Lydia who died in the invasion of whiterun because all she does is get in the way of my greatsword. I then realized Michael Turko needs no followers only...the Turko Files.

I had experiences with the followers. They're crappy. That was the point. :P Also if everyone made a specific topic for every video game, we'd have tons. Like, I could go make a topic about say... Sonic Generations (I just looked at the first game I had in sight. :P) and said topic would be about who is your favorite character from that game. Someone else could make a topic about Dues Ex and what their favorite augmentation is and so on.

See my point now?

Edit: Not to mention the Video Game topic talks about Skyrim a LOT so it easily could have be incorporated into that topic. I'm not knocking you for making this topic or anything though.

Okay got your point now, sorry! I was just annoyed that the replies are just about followers are the hated or they're crap. Not that I hate everyone for saying it though. Next time I'll stick to the video game thread, thanks for telling me.

I think I killed Lydia about four minutes after first recieving her. Bitch looked like she had some nice armour on, but it was all a ruse. Anyway, she was stuck in a door, so it was for her own good. I've managed to look after J'Zargo so far, though, and his magic abilities come in most handy.
