I have a problem.

First time you ever questioned your parents Authority
  • #101

When I was told I couldn't watch Dragon Ball Z on T.V because it was demonic.

Same
  • #102

When my mom wouldn't let me ride my bicicle because it would have been too dangerous. When I was 12.
._.

Same.
  • #103

When I learned how to speak.

Honestly, I was a little spitfire as a kid and a demon as a teenager. I've never had much respect for authority, period.

Same Question.

Your first time being home alone?
  • #105

First day of seventh grade. My brother was late coming home (he went to the local high school) so, when I got there I was the only one. It was only for fifteen minutes. IT WAS GREAT. At least, eleven year old me thought it was great.

First true friend?

Fossil Sharks, of course. There was a time when I had no clue what a "forum" was, and I was much less social, so everything I did on the web revolved around me searching for shit about the X Files, paleontology and ichthyology.

First brand of computer?
  • #109

Windows, but an old one. Only used it for playing Age of Empires 2.

First serious date?
  • #110

Gameboy Color. I kinda miss that thing, I'm pretty sure I forgot it on a plane.

Fist plane trip?
  • #112

Never been of a plane.

First time traveling from state to state?
  • #113

Pretty sure it was to Kansas. Chances are, I did it before I knew what a "state" was, since Kansas City is so close to the Missouri/Kansas border.

First comic book?
  • #114

A 2004 issue of Shonen Jump that my brother had. It got me interested in comics and manga for the first time as well.

What was your first game console?

How do you base jump DBZ?

Alice in Wonderland. My mom bought it for me with the intent of having me read it later on, but I taught myself to read very early on.

First bone you've ever broken?
  • #119

none! I did dislocate my patella... that was one of the most painful experiences I've had, and the closest I've come to breaking a bone.

same question
  • #120

Femur in my left(?) leg? Happened as a result of a shopping cart not holding me even though I was below the max weight. Litigation ensued.

First favorite musical act?
  • #121

Bloc Party!! I used to pretend to love certain groups because it was hip to have a favourite band, but then when I found Bloc Party, I fell in love. I am so happy they are back in studios, I would kill to go to one of their concerts... and I would not at all mind making them my first :-* .

First time honestly afraid?
  • #122

The first time i fell off a ladder.

First time you were brave?
  • #123

I damn myself for never being outwardly courageous. I've been overtly cowardly at least twice though (broods). Hmmm...

First time you showed cowardice, regardless of what you knew was right?
  • #124

I'm not sure if this was the first one but, man, was it the one to stick with me the most and I guess the most major one. It was a little over a year ago. I was in my dorm room studying and my suitemate was in our lounge just outside my door. I remember hearing this big dude start yelling at him and throwing shit around our room and threatening him. I shut off my lights so no one realized I was there and watched the scene unfold from the peephole in my door. My suitemate, who was a pretty brave fucker, was staring the guy done and keeping his cool like it was nobody's business and this clearly pissed off the big dude. I remember wanting to call public safety but, I was afraid to get involved. Then, the big dude went to close the lounge door so he could start fighting my suitemate and the RA caught the door at the last minute and had the escorted out. In the end, no one got hurt but, man, did I feel like a giant pussy for not calling security on the dude when it was clear he was ready to thrash my suitemate...

First time you encountered racism in real life and how you dealt with it?

When a woman called me a monkey, I told my parents seeing I was 7 years old.

First seeing your pet die?
  • #126

When I was 7-ish? Had a 16 year old cat. By now we have lost another cat (damn cars) and a dog due to old age. Goddamn loved that dog.

Same question.
  • #127

I had a pet hamster named Hermione. She just up and died, I think she landed on her head from climbing up to the top of her cage and falling too much.

Your first last time doing something?
  • #128

Roughly two years ago I got sick of my school's athletic department. It worked mostly of abusing the people who weren't very good and just making the strong stronger (a punching bag system, if you will). I know that's kind of how its supposed to work, but I just couldn't deal with it. So I'm now focusing on my mental disciplines.

First time you saw something that really inspired you?
  • #129

When I saw one of the smaller guys on my team get blindsided by a guy going like a train, and then keep right on playing. Didn't even drop the ball.

First time you clutched?
  • #130

Sir Brocky: Man, that guy must be tough as nails. I wish I could be tough like that, taking hits.

I'm unsure of the terminology, but I believe that's either doing really well or rather bad under pressure in sports, ya?
Well, there was this one major game when my school was facing their big time rivals. I benchwarmed for most of the game (I was probably our worst athlete: Abnormaly tall but very little experience. The fact I wasn't placed in many games didn't help that much). But when it came down to the last few minutes/seconds I was set on defense, and I didn't let anyone get a shot in (it was very close game). It was the only time I felt of worth to my team (and the only time I seemed of worth to them, I'm sure). That's the only time I really did well.

If instead you're asking for the worst of times, the rest of my athletic record speaks of my mediocrity.

Regardless: First time you discovered something that was popular a generation or more ago and loved it.
  • #131

Easy. The Beatles. Really, my gateway drug into rock. Up until the eleventh grade, I'd only really listened to Hip Hop and R&B because that's mostly what my older brother listened to. Anyway, it started with me watching Across the Universe and that's what really got me! After that, I began to discover rock in general and the rest is history!

Your first internet forum?
  • #132

Capcom forums. I was fantastic there, before the weirdness of the forum games on EggXpert and my then-tendency to skip doses made me a blubbering fool for a while.

First time you played an M-rated game?
  • #133

Halo Combat Evolved, good times. Also when I was like 10 or 12.

Same question
  • #134

I think that one was Halo Combat Evolved. All my games were T up until then (Star Wars Shadows of the Empire, Goldeneye, Jet Force Gemini, etc.)

First time you kissed someone of the opposite sex?
  • #135

I never have, literally speaking... Not physically. Don't ask.

First crush?
  • #136

Though it was never formally rated, the original Mortal Combat on Super Nintendo. We even did the code to unlock the blood before each game. We as in myself and my mom.

I honestly don't remember her name. My one and only crush was a girl who was a resident at a psychological facility that used their in-house school (at the time) as a school for kids with problems. I was attending it.

First time staying up past midnight on New Year's?

This post has been edited by Carcharocles: 24 January 2012 - 01:44 AM

  • #137

When I was eight, I had a sleepover with my best friend. We stayed up 'til 1 and threw arbitrary confetti paper all over the floor yelling "Happy New Year!"

Same question I had before, but I ninja'd him: first crush?
  • #138

i don't know how to classify that

first movie to really terrify you
  • #139

Scream. I watched when i was 5 *shudders*

First doll?
  • #140

Never :D!

First skill you picked up
  • #141

Legit skill? Probably, um, dodgeball. I kid you not--I was a beast at that game. Still am.

First time you felt betrayed?
  • #142

When I was three and felt betrayed because someone didn't give me candy...(so girly)

Your first crush

A childhood friend in Grade 6, she was of course a tomboy who hung out with a bunch of boys. Haven't talked to her in years.

Same question.

This girl in seventh grade. She didn't like me. Drama resulted when I kissed her on a $5 bet.

Your first drama?
  • #145

When I was in the second grade I did a couple of nice things for a girl because I felt like it. This girl decided to ask me out, which resulted in some tragic drama on account of me being really shy and not yet old enough to be attracted to her. :(

Same question.
  • #146

Found a condom in the school yard, didn't know what a condom was, drama ensued.

What was your first broken bone?
  • #147

My arm, I slipped on some ice.

First kiss?
  • #148

No broken bones! Can't remember if I shared this story on this board or not, but I'll tell it again anyway. The closest I've come to breaking a bone is when I dislocated my patella. Hurt like a motherfucker

First kiss happened after school one day. Some girl set me up on a blind date with one of her friends. We waited a few weeks before we finally kissed after band class one day. Only a few months later, we split up because we just didn't see it going anywhere.

First encounter with the police

Other than school related class pep-talks, my first one-on-one encounter was about 2 years ago when I was waiting outside a friend of a friend's house to go to the girlfriend's friend's wedding, that was a province away, and an officer came up to me and asked for my license and registration because another car of the same make and model had been involved in some kind of crime the night before.

Same Q
