Bittersweet Candy Bowl: The Television Series

Alright, here goes nothing...

I know probably tons of people have said and done this, but months ago, I decided to turn the BCB comics into a television series script. So far, I have written the complete first season, and a soundtrack for the first few episodes. The second season is in the works right now. I emailed a copy of the pilot and its soundtrack to Veronica Vera, and she said she liked it, but that I should come here for a better opinion. 90% of the dialog is exactly the same as the comics themselves. I guess my question is should I continue writing or am I just wasting my time? If you would like me to email you the pilot, just drop me a PM with your email address, and then post what you think of it here. Thanks!

I want to tell you you're wasting your time simply because by asking things here you aren't going to get anything done.

I had nothing against most of BCB and thus I probably wouldn't have anything against this either but it's not like these forums are suddenly going to turn it into a full-blown series?????

Well, if you want to turn that into a television series, you need:

- A very good script
- A way to contact a representative in the television/animation world
- An sponsor wishing to sponsor your project
- A television company wishing to produce your project.
- A team of animators.

So, all I can say to you is: Good luck, my friend :).

Could I have an eye on it? Not like I'm going to help you with that, but I would like to see how you wrote a television script.

I didn't like your script much.

I'd be comfortable doing that if we had a team of 5-10 animators working round the clock. but unfortunately I'm working with one other animator doing an animation of the beginning of the series. I'm working on the backgrounds, I think our plan is to make short episodes, and gain more interest so we can have more help.

I'm hoping we can achieve an animation as good as "there she is"

Well, I see that the reactions are a mixed bag, but mostly positive. So, as long as you guys don't mind, I'm going to send it to a few other places that can do animation, and we'll see where it goes from there. Thanks for your opinions, and sorry if I wasted your time.
