Forum Rules (now Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger)
oh wait, have no bearing on me whatsoever.
Seriously, if you're worried about these rules, then you probably have very good reason to be. If you're not worried at all about these rules, then you probably have very good reason not to be.
(My only concern is regarding avatars. Most people think of furry things when they think cute, and I still feel that is a very subjective rule. But I'm sure that argument totally has never been beat to death. But whatever, I have plenty of other avatars if my current one is deemed unfitting.)
SHUT DOWN EVERTHING ANYWAYS.
Also: Totally in support of "don't start public shit with a mod" implementation, usually if you have a discussion with just a single person (via PMs in this case), you can flesh out any misunderstandings and get to know each other and their views/policies a little better, as opposed to the clusterfuck of many angry people throwing out their stupid opinions about how they think YOU should run YOUR site. Most stupid arguments evolve over simple misunderstandings anyway, so for a back-and-forth PM session to be the only course of action, it would be a lot easier to clear things up without others enforcing the misunderstanding.

Actually, I meant that sentence to be interpreted in a slightly different manner, but I suppose it ends up the same.

As for the other rules, the only thing that really changes is a loss of Recess. I'm completely indifferent on that; Recess was largely shit, though there were some good threads, and its presence caused a rift in the forum. The old forum was generally more like this--you can be goofy, as long as you're not dull as hell. Really, beyond these two points (which are minor) the rules haven't changed at all.

If there's anything we missed that isn't just a dumb forum game, let us know! Not here, though, then it'll become a clusterfuck of "yes" "no" "uhh maybe"

Of course that isn't allowed. You need to add something relevant and important to bump an old topic.

Yeah, because I totally know the hidden rule to forums. Don't bump old topics unless it's relevent to the thread.

Considering I've never been on forums except this one (and even then, don't frequently check on it), I guess that common sense didn't get to me.

-don't bump current event threads that are long dead (like something that occurred in 2010)
-if you want to make a topic about something, check if it exists first, and bump that thread if it does. The whole DON'T BUMP OLD STUFF rule is the reason why for a while we had people making topics that existed for ages, like shipping threads.
-if you want to bump something very old, the post must be of value. Don't bump something with "I agree" or "wow!" or something that someone probably already said in the thread that killed it. That just adds more rubbish.

On the backseat modding, at the time I was only making a suggestion that I was wondering if you could do that, but I now feel stupid for doing that and would like to move on from this.

If you don't want something cute then you are perfectly capable of posting in the forum without an avatar.

And I miss the goofy, crazed antics that occurred in the recess 'subject'. it was a place to post topics or comments that entertain others, If you don't like that kinda stuff, don't click "Recess". While I understand why it was removed, i still think this forum currently lacks a place for the comedic BCB readers

And yes, the forum does not provide a place for that. It is by design. Those readers should stay silent.

Normally Id crusade in your right to choose an avatar, and show you the ways to cirumvent the rule.
But honestly? Its a goddman avatar on a forum. If that actually has any sort of effect on you aside from "darn I cant use picture blah", then thats juat weird. Doesnt really change you posts, and an 80 x 120 picture I hope doesnt define you.
