PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE IS THERE SOMEONE ELSE THAT FREAKEN WATCHES THIS SHOW BECAUSE OH MY GOD
souppy and i marathoned the first five seasons.
and i have a lot of feelings and opinions about it that would probably be organised better if there were people to NERD OUT WITH
THOUGH IT WOULD BE COOL FOR PEOPLE TO SHARE THEIR OWN OPINIONS FIRST, like with seasons and shit and whatever
Maybe you should spoiler things that are pretty spoilery I guess??

I've only seen the first two seasons of the show a year or so back and I don't really remember much except that he has a sister, there's some black guy who suspects he's a killer, he kills people, and has a weird fetish for blood, but then feints when he sees a lot of blood in a room.
That's my views on Dexter thank you.

It's a really great show, but I am not spoiling anything for anyone.

This little clip is what got me started on Dexter.
I was thinkin' how badass it is to headbutt someone and just walk away all calm and collected. Lookin' forward to next season. It starts in what like August?

I always wondered how he could possibly think straight with all the other voices in his head demanding attention.
His sister annoys me though, She never shuts up and very rarely says anything of value

I've taken a vague interest, only because I've bought my mom each season for birthdays/holidays. But really, I think I'll finally take the plunge since Netflix Canada has the first 3 seasons.

I started watching it a while ago, I'm about half way through season 3? Not enjoying this one quite as much as the first two, though I've heard 3 is basically the worst series so far.

Ah I love that show. Sadly I've only seen the first three seasons; me and my dad had a huge Dexter spree a while back. Looks like it's time to go on another. : D
If anything, his wife/girlfriend, Rita annoys me. (I'm not too sure on their relationship at present, it's been a long while) She's nosy and annoying and there's something about her character I simply do not like. I don't know. It's the way she portrays herself or something, but I always get so frustrated when she starts talking, especially. : /

It inspired me to write a short story about serial killers.
And I have only seen a single season. Too bad I do not have access to the entire series up-to-date. I would have marathoned it too!

MisterDean: I feel season three really was weakest, probably because the big bad wasn't as scary as season one, four, and five. You didn't feel satisfied when the season three villain was caught, it was more about the antagonist.
The tragedy is that if you want Dexter to end on a high note season three is a good ending. The stuff that happens afterwards almost makes me sad it had to continue, despite LOVING four and five.
Also man deb is the shit

Yeah, I really like Deb. I think she's a good character. I never feel the "CSI lite" vibes that some people seem to dislike half of Dexter for because I enjoy watching her (and some of the other characters) even if they're just doing police work.
Season 3 is definitely the weakest, but it's still worth watching. I can't pick favourites otherwise. Everything is pretty great. I think the tense feeling in season 2 is great as Dexter is almost found out, and of course every season has a final few episodes where shit is going down and it gets super exciting.
This is a good show to marathon, so if you've only seen dribs and drabs, start over. We'll catch up to season 6 soon.

I watched the first 4 episodes and I like it, not hooked yet but I really want to keep watching. It's so refreshing from all the police/crime drama shows out there. I also like that they have flashbacks every now and then that reveal tid-bits about his warped past.

The books are worth reading, too. The plot is pretty much completely different from about the middle of the first season onwards, and the tone of the books is much darker. Especially in regards to Astor and Cody.

is it pathetic that i was really happy they found the crime scene of a murdered couple in season 6 because they showed it the previous episode and there was a cat and i thought if the dead couple is left in the house and the killer escapes then the cat will starve to death and that's no good

we finished watching all of it........
now i can't have advanced knowledge and have the upper hand on Souppy anymore
Though I have to say Season 6 was aaaawesomeeeee.
i seem to really like the reasons that people apparently forget about? Season 1 was more annoying to me, but seasons 5 and 6 I enjoyed thoroughly. I guess because you really want to freaken nab that big bad.

May I ask how you folks got a hand on the seasons, boxsets or, 'other' ?
Never been partial to 'other', most leave out deleted scenes and extras.

who needs to torrent when there's netflix and mooching?
edit: would make a new post, but that would be double, so whatever...
so I finished watching Season 2 a couple minutes ago and my cheeks hurt like crazy from grinning so much. I really really enjoyed that.
Spoiler
I think I might be addicted.
