This is a thread about songs that remind you of BCB or its contents. It could remind you of a chapter, character, or character groups or couples. I am aware there is already a topic about music, but that is just for a couple songs you like, whereas this is a little more focused. So, have any songs that remind you of BCB? Please post them here. Also, sorry about the politics tag, the was a slip-up, I meant to click media.

I have a couple songs of my own to contribute, the first one is called "Freckles" or "Sobakasu" and is most well known as the opening to the anime "Rurouni Kenshin". I feel it perfectly captures the tone and feeling of BCB. There are two versions though, the original "Sobakasu" which is around four minutes but was cut down to be the first opening theme to Rurouni Kenshin, and when translated over the only part of the song that was translated was what was in the anime. The English version was preformed by "Judy and Mary" (according to the credits) and I cannot find who did the Japanese version. The translation is basically identical so both versions have the same lyrics. The reason this song reminds me of BCB is the light and upbeat singing and feeling of the song, though if you listen to the lyrics it is can be rather sad, and much more deep then what first appearances showed. Other songs are "Pleasure seeker" by "Social Distortion". This one reminds me of Augustus (Final Fantasy cat) and how he tried to "corrupt" Daisy. Link is here

"Don't Take Me for Granted" again by "Social Distortion" reminds me of Lucy and Mike, though the song goes both ways, though in recent chapters it is becoming less like that, especially Mike towards Lucy.

"Footprints on My Ceiling" again by "Social Distortion" ( please don't hate me for using them lots of times, I just really think their songs remind me of some characters...and I REALLY like the band). This one could be about Mike and Sandy, Mike and Lucy, or in my opinion, all three. I would say more because this is my absolute favorite song listed so far and I think it really applies to the relationships between those three, but I have already written a lot and it is better to let people just hear it themselves.



P.S. Songs mentioned in the chapter "Unmerry Melodies" (where Mike and Lucy are tagged with lots of songs) Also belong here, though I thought these songs just went there by default.

Those two remind me of MikexLucy relationship, the first from Lucy's pov and the second is Mike's.

I think "Misery" by Maroon 5 reminds me of Carter's love for Lucy.

well when ever i find a good comic or somthing, i usally find new music to listen to while i read it. so i have 3 bands a i listen to while on BCB: Breaking Benjamin, 3 Days Grace, and Seether. but the song i think that fits BCB,(in my view) is this: The Messenger

More MikexLucy, mostly Mike's pov minus the female part which makes sense for Lucy.
Basically when Mike realized that their relationship had gone sour/for the worst and decided to move on from it.

This song kinda reminds me of BCB in a slightly abstract way. It's slightly upbeat, not too much so, and I thought the lyrical message kind of fit for Mike because, well... there were a few "Where is my mind?" moments.

And this one was playing when I started reading the daydream sequence, so now it's forever associated with it in my mind. I first interpreted the last line of the chorus as "I think it's strange you left me", but then after listening harder I thought it was "I think it's strange you never knew", which ironically fits even more.

this is what i listened to for about 30 or 40 chapters back when i found this place October 25th or so

aka every song which mentions depression, love, lust, anger, or feeling like youre crazy

It's kinda interesting though, seeing what different people associate with the same comic.

I never once thought of "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" when I was reading through the comic, but it make me snicker when I saw it. Oh clever people!

This one's just kind of a big fat duh! and I suppose the titles have linked themselves together in my mind, But it' a beautiful song that reminds me of a beautiful comic.

Lucys feelings with Mike. How she's trying her best to move on, but she just doesn't seem quite capable of it and everytime she's practically there, something just breaks her down.

I think this is a pretty fitting song for her.

My opinion of a song that mostly rminds me of BCB is You me at six - Stay with me (acoustic) it's so nice and peaceful and packed with emotions........ agh... i shouldn't go off like that.

Now that I think about it there are no fat people/cats in BCB

There's something about this song that makes me think about the male characters of BCB. Really it reminds me of Mike.

I've still got BCB on the brain from my Friday read-a-thon.

EVERY song I hear reminds me of the comic. Well... so long as they aren't rap or heavy metal, but you get the idea.

EDIT:

"Small Wonders" by Rob Thomas. It was playing on a soft loop in a different room for the whole day I was reading BCB, and I never even knew it until the next morning. Not even sure if I heard it, but hey...

Makes me think of Lucy's opinion of Mike, with just a few vague differences in there.

Also by them, this doesn't make me think of any specific part, but everytime I hear it I think of some non-descript rave-party-type thing, Paulo's hitting on the ladies, David's being oblivious, all the others are doing what they do, meanwhile Daisy's being taken into a backroom by some guy who just wants to take advantage of her vulnerability.

Also, everytime I hear Bicycle Race by Queen because Paulo and David sang it in the Summer story arc.
