  • Ask me what I think about Snooths!
I've never heard of this guy before, but it always sucks when someone dies young.

Wow I knew that he had cancer but.. this certainly comes as a shock. I really enjoyed his animations while they lasted. He certainly had a unique sense of humor. And his addiction to cola certainly was amusing as well.

Just saw it a couple minutes ago, really sad. I spent the whole video hoping they'd burst in "ha! early April fools!", but no :(
  • #5

I'll punch a cat if it is an april fool's joke.
  • #6

I don't think this is something they'd joke about though.
  • #7

I'm not really familiar with his art work, but I can say this: while there probably aren't any pleasurable ways to day, Cancer sucks harder than most of them.
  • #8

Do not access his main website there seems to be a java exploit on there.

How sad. But, everyone will die some time. At least he has some form of legacy to live on.

  • #11

Just in case anyone wants to know what his videos are like.

In case you couldn't tell, Tom is Tomska.

@LackLuster: Could it possibly be a false warning? Either way, thanks for the heads up.

I would prefer a tasteless joke to the truth.

His animations and creativity were quite inspirational and entertaining.

This one's my personal favourite:

And he was in this, though he didn't animate it.

Eddsworld is one of the first thing I ever found on the internet(back in 2006). I liked his videos from 2006-2008, but after that I started to like his videos less and went on to find other internet content. It's sad he died though. :(

Here's some funny Eddsworld videos.

Wow i liked his animations, never knew he had cancer.
Sad that hes gone now.
  • #18

Oh man. I never even knew he was sick. Finding out he'd died is actually pretty upsetting.
  • #19

i kind of hated his cartoons and i thought he was a hack who couldnt animate or write but eh oh well i guess

christ he was younger than me that's really scary

The first youtube video at first seemed like a joke, like the dumb episode for the Abridged Series when they were mourning Tristan's original voice, but as it went on I was like "oh god no this is real", it's just terrible to know that happened. I have never heard of the videos before, but that's a shame :( A really long battle fought, and he really made the most of it all!!!

Man, that sucks. I knew he had cancer, and to be honest when it onsets so violently in an adult, it's usually pretty serious, but it's still sad. I knew his channel for a while, and his animations were great.

I think I first became aware of Eddsworld back in 2007(?), and I like to credit him and a few other comics/animators for getting me back into drawing after my loss of interest during Jr. High, so it's a shame to see Edd died. I managed to watch one of his livestreams a while back and he seemed like a cool guy, so I hope his friends and family are doing well.
  • #24

Yeah it is a shame. I didn't hate his cartoons like snooths but they did lack quality imo (the characters really did look mouse drawn in flash and out of place against the backgrounds often) but regardless they were a decent way to kill time. I did watch them though and it's saddening to hear he's kicked the bucket

When news of this was brought to my attention, I didn't feel bad. All I could think of was all the times that Edd made me laugh with his videos, brightening my day. Yeah, sonewhere inside me I was crying, but I though, Edd wouldn't want his fans crying, he would hope that the spirit of him, and his videos would keep the public with big happy smiles.
RIP Edd, I'll miss you. :(
  • #26

*Sigh* I miss edd...he was my inspiration.

What makes you think that its a good idea to post in a thread that is over half a year old for no proper reason

Posting in a super old thread is just as questionable as replying to the post in the super old thread just to point that out.
