Kureji-Neko's Imaginarium(TM)

Most of my art is original; I do do the occasional fanart from time to time too. Most of them are ink-based. I usually don't like to color them, but if I'm feeling up to it, I will with Corel Painter. If I had the money, I'd totally get those markers....ugh they started with a 'C' and they're idiotically expensive for just one....
Anyway here's some of my artwork (I can also do requests, BCB or no. Just don't nag; I have a life ;) ) :

One of my Original Characters; I've been working on developing a comic for awhile, I just.....need to get it off the ground hahaaaa~
Creer is a 700 year old fire elemental (salamander). The stereotypical musclehead; hotheaded, brash and headstrong, but with an attraction to anything small and/or cute. Is able to control any size fire, from lit matches to massive wildfires; is also able to turn any part of his body into flame and is capable of producing large backdrafts and explosions.

A Piasa Bird is a mythical beast described by the Illini Indians as, basically, this. There's a story about it, but that's for you to look up(you KNOW you wanna...). Cool fact: there's also a painting of the monster above Great River Rd in Alton, Ill. Road trip for you Illinoians!

CHOPPER. In his Horn Point mode. The greatest reindeer ever. Tried to get some shading in there, because, you know, 3D.

My Kahjiit warrior-assassin, Astrid in Elder Scrolls V Skyrim. Wish I knew Astrid was the same name of the leader of The Dark Brotherhood beforehand...Guess which part was the hardest? :/

*HUFF HUFF HUFF* Alright, I-I think that's enough for now. You...can...look here as well...http://kureji-neko.deviantart.com/

Now I need to finish the Mass Effect fanart I've been puting off.... :/

Edit Part Deux: Sorry about the huffing, I made a mistake, corrected it and moved on. And before the day is over!

BAM. WREX. GARRUS. MASS EFFECT 3 ART.

Finished it last night; condense the days it took into hours and it's.....close to 4? 3.5, 4 hours.
The ARMOR and the ARMS gave me the greatest trouble. Still think the arms are durpish-are they meh? Oh, and the fact that you either need to look at A LOT of character artwork on the internet(by BioWare or other pros), or get an art book(Which I did; totally worth it!), it would be impossible to get every detail down(still think I may have missed a teeny bit...).
Really thinking of coloring this...hmmmmhmmmhmmmmm-

Sorry, this was brought up in the IRC. To be clear, despite their insistence on the point, it was copied by sight, rather than traced. This is an acceptable way of learning how to recreate an image, or the feel of it. But at the very least, you should make it clear that you have tried to recreate a certain image (which you kind of did by saying it was your favourite image from your favourite movie), to avoid people who can't tell the difference between traced and copied, that the original image you recreated was not your work, and possibly even provide a link to the original.

But better yet, even if you are proud of it, it might be best to keep it in a folder somewhere to refer to, but not display to others. I do this sometimes, and it has taught me a lot about other people's styles (although I don't see myself as a great artist). I'm not having a dig, just warning you that it might be in your best interests to try to look at your image, and use what you learned from it to create something new, rather than display the copy. Think of the copying as the first half, to get the feel and learn how to do it.

Just some friendly advice. Hope you don't mind.

Don't know how you can trace something that was on a television, but I get the point. Maybe...

Well, at least someone's enjoying my wariness of posting my artwork, lest it incite raging flame wars...fan art at least...

From a more...imaginative part of my mind; I made a few of them, Nitemares, I called them. I wonder where they went?...Wait, I thought that door was closed...

I think this is where my old EPSON went to hell, at least you can make out the scale shading; I need to find the original. I worked ball-to-wall hard on this.

It's called a Wog. In Winder, Georgia, there's a place nearby that had volcanic or volcano-like activity(not sure if it's still there or even active now); hardly anything grew around the bubbling mass of dark sludge. Back when the Creek Indians inhabited the area, they called it Nodoroc and the Wog lived within the pit. Hell and its devil to point out. Tried to get my take on the Wog's description. I can in no doubt improve it, but I'll keep the long forked tongue: the settlers in the area used to report that they could see it sticking in through the chinks in their log cabins...

To be fair, it's really easy to find screenshots of these things online. Whether or not you were eyeballing it on a television screen means nothing to people on the internet.

Either way, you have some pretty inventive creature designs. In particular I really dig the Nitemares there. You should draw some more and post them in the future; I'm curious to see what other forms the things can take. c:

Meh, I'm over it now; mistakes are made. I made a mistake, I huffed at bit and moved on, hence more art!
I did go through some sort of phase cause I did make a lot(Nitemares), so I should have some of the originals lying in a container somewhere...or I'll just make more :3

Requests, eh?
Well, since I request something for everyone, how about this:
Try drawing Yamata-no-Orochi.
Or rather, how you percieve Yamata-no-Orochi.

Ahh, the eight-headed snake of Japanese lore. I may have some time to spare this weekend, schedule's up in the air right now....what the hell, I'll give it a shot when I get the chance!

I'm surprised James Cameron survived his trip into the Marianas Trench. Damn, now we have to sit through 3 hours of another blockbuster he'll pull out of his ass, along with his mountain of money.

Some Fallout ran art. Deathclaws were SO MUCH tougher to kill in New Vegas than in 3; these were uploaded years ago, so I need to find them and rescan them. I need to find a lot of these and rescan them....

The Nitemares are cool. C: And, just a tip, Copics are great but you're more an intermediate artist. I would highly recommend Prismacolor markers. They are fantastic and quite a bit cheaper. They blend just as well. While there's no brush tip, it's still really smooth and pretty. I'd recommend going to a local Hobby Lobby or Michaels or whatever and buying a single one of each so you get a feel for them. ^^

Thanks for the tip(and compliment! >w<), RC! I do remember my Michael's having Prismacolor sets...I can't remember if they sold them seperate. I'll have to remember to stop by after work tomorrow. One way to spend my tax return 0w<

I decided that Yamata-no-Orochi should be somewhat realistic, so I used real world species for it. Sea, viper, cobras, rattle, python, tree and big-headed snakes....With some mystical flair. I was gonna half-ass it and not put in scales, then I went 'NOPE.' C: THAT did a number on my hand.
Sadly, Photobucket can't precieve the difference between the one I cleaned up and the one that was scanned in. NNNNGGG.

So, uh, you like? :x

It looks great, thanks a lot.
It reminds me of the version they used in Okami, where every head looks different.
The scales definitely added a lot to it.
I really appreciate it!

Concept of The Slender Man. The Slender Man is somewhat fictious; people on the internet admit that pictures were Photoshopped to show off, but people are saying he exists.
Since there's really a massive amount of detail with appearance and the tendency to drive people insane/manipulation, but I also decided that he's interested in children (most 'photos' were set in playgrounds with kids around). For sustinence, he kidnaps kids by luring them into isolated areas and devouring them.

And here's a cute picture of Chopper!
