Am I the only one who gets the impression that nobody got close enough to the doorknob to close the door with anything but telekinesis? If Jordan has telekinesis maybe he should be a more significant character.

Haha, that's what I thought too, Borg Lord. Jordan did rather well to reach around Paulo and grab that knob without him noticing! Especially since Jordan appears to be on Paulo's right from his point of view facing the door, yet the door is hinged on the left. 
Looks like Jordan is a bit shorter than Paulo, though he's a year older. That won't keep him from telling Paulo to get lost though. Lucy's brothers sure are protective, aren't they?
Now that Paulo has seen Lucy disconsolate, it'll be bugging him all day, which will probably get in the way of fully enjoying any time with Jasmine. And Jasmine may take note of that.

At first I actually thought it was Sam - since he always protected Lucy from Mike, but I forgot the height difference and glasses and yadda yadda.

I'm sorry, Taeshi, I saw it when you first put up that picture. I got in trouble for responding to that "your mom lol/my mom is dead" line when I was twelve. If not verbatim, it was very close to "I'd kill myself too if you fell out of me." If his mom was actually dead... still nothing. He had it coming for assuming I'd give a shit about his dead mom.

If you bring up an actual death in your family in a light-hearted conversation, you deserve whatever comes next.

It's really too bad that Lucy didn't notice Paulo; he might have cheered her up and made her feel not so alone. The only other person that Lucy might reach out to at this point is Sue. Sue has indicated at least twice that she'd be there for Lucy if she needed it. And Mike didn't mention Sue among the people whom he said would join him.
Speaking of Mike, the school play gets very awkward for Lucy now. Wonder if she'd recover enough over the holidays to perform? Or will the play be a disaster? I doubt Sue will succeed in her goal to make Mike and Lucy friends again. Now just isn't the time for that; they need to spend time apart from each other.

At least Lucy heard Paulo, and saw that he left a gift for her. That should boost her morale a bit, knowing that she isn't completely alone. I don't think she'll rush out to invite Paulo in though, since Jordan has already pushed him out of the house, and she may still want time to gather her thoughts.
Poor Paulo, he has no idea what occurred between Lucy and Mike a week ago. Probably he'll wander over to Jasmine's house with thoughts of sad Lucy weighing on his mind.

Poor Paulo and Lucy. I'm glad to see that Paulo still cares, and knowing how he is, I doubt he'd leave Lucy like that without figuring out what happened to her in the first place. If he's not going to be allowed in the house, he'll probably start questioning everyone in the group.
This page reminds me of how Mike mentioned that no one would support her...glad to know he's wrong in that regard. I wonder if any other members of the cast will see what Lucy is up to. I'm also curious about whether Lucy told anyone about what happened. Her siblings don't seem to know, and Lily seems like the most likely individual that would know any sort of detail.

This page is awesome. The fairest and most perfect followup to the previous page.
Not only am I glad that Jordan cares like hell about his sister's well being right now (like a good fucking brother), but I'm glad that Lucy ACTUALLY REACTED to what happened. I'm glad she's not dead. She looked so gray and still in the last page...what was she even doing? Just sitting on the bed in the dark? That raises the question; why were Yashy and Chirpy so cheerful in that previous page with them throwing snowballs at Paulo and Lily? Do the two of them not realize what's going on with Lucy? Lily certainly knows; hell, so does Jordan! If Jordan knows, then hopefully the parents know.
Lucy actually came back to life, got up, and cracked the door to listen to Paulo trying to explain to Jordan that he's innocent. I hope she sees the cake and takes it as a gesture and a sign that Paulo still cares about her. Just goes to show that Mike is a fallible fuck-cunt who's wrong about all her friends abandoning her. I can kinda picture her approaching up to him at the very end of this chapter and asking if she can talk with him. Then the first page of the next chapter shows Paulo going on a rampage like hell throughout the school the next day, looking for Mike. For obvious reasons, of course...
So Paulo is kicked out of the house. What now? Also, what is he referring to in the last panel? He obviously doesn't understand what's wrong with Lucy, or he doesn't understand that he can't be near her?
Can't wait to see what happens next.

He doesn't understand why he can't be near her. Because he doesn't know what happened with Lucy and Mike last week.
I do think the meaning is a bit unclear in the last panel. I too had to think twice to get what Paulo meant.

I discovered this comic 3 days ago because it was advertised on the Homestuck website (mspaintadventures.com) and I've already caught up to the current strip. I'm so addicted to this comic! The characters are intriguing and complex- I love it! I can't wait to see how this chapter pans out.
Also (though I'm sure this won't be for some time yet, who knows) I'm so curious to see how Augustus's story pans out. Will he defect fully to the side of good or evil? Only time will tell

Oh, the preceding pages were a flashback. Perhaps from earlier in the day? Paulo's spending time with Jasmine now, but still thinking about Lucy. Jasmine doesn't seem to notice his gloomy mood just yet though. Will she, and if so, will Paulo tell her the reason for it?
It's funny to see Lily giving Yashy a taste of her own medicine.

Yeah, I am just paranoid - I keep expecting Lucy's life to get progressively worse, but it's more likely that Jasmine's about to get hurt. As nonchalant as she makes herself seem about their relationship, she has cried about it before.

And for all that we've talked about Jasmine not making time for Paulo, it can also be argued that it's unfair of Paulo to not give his full attention to his current girlfriend. It's pretty clear he still has feelings for Lucy, so why continue this charade?
