aaaaaaaaaaaaw, my allergies are acting up :)
  • #3

The pokemon manga seems surprisingly good.
  • #4

*sniff*

What? I bit my tongue and stubbed my toe.
  • #5

So, when it dies can they just suck it back into that ball and then bury the ball?
  • #6

I teared up at "When it's Pikachu's turn" Pikachu will NEVER FUCKING DIE OK?! ;_;

But seriously, manly tears right now.
  • #7

Pikachu will never die because he is a cockroach disguised as an electric rat.
  • #8

This made me feel an emotion. I don't normally have emotions. I liked it.

that would certainly save on space, especially for something like a Rhydon or Gyrarados
  • #10

Actually considering the size of the graves is uniform, I could believe that to be a legit possibility.
  • #11

Maybe they all get cremated in their pokeballs? Some sort of fire pokemon (really, any fire pokemon) would do.

Is this thread serious or am I missing the sarcasm?

Gay.
  • #13

If this made you feel terrible, looking up eevee in rule34 might make you think, "Well, fuck maybe it's better off dead after all." Or kill yourself. I'm not a mind reader.
  • #14

It's totally serious man.

POKEMON IS SRS BSNS

But ya, I thought this was a very sweet comic. I especially liked the part w/ dead evee. SO SAD

Good read, not like, tear jerker, but a good read nonetheless.

Am I the only one thinking why the heck Eevee doesn't turn into a ghost thingy Pokemon?
O-O

Stop.
  • #21

I would not recommend burying a Pokemon while it's still in it's pokeball for two reasons.

1. Pokeballs a expensive.

2. A mechanical device is likely to malfunction after years of being buried underground if a pokeball were to malfunction in a graveyard it could result in large Pokemon bones violently bursting from the ground witch could seriously hurt or kill someone.
  • #22

Well, yeah it is sad. The emotion doesn't just stop with a trainer and his Pokemon, it extends to pet owners in general.

A pokeball is a devise that not only must provide life support for the creature inside indefinitely but it also warps space and matter itself in order to hold the Pokemon inside. It's like a tardis without the time travel so ya it sounds like something that would be pretty expensive.
  • #26

Dolls cost more than Pokeballs in the Pokemon world.
Pokeballs are like, the cheapest thing you can buy outside of water and lemonade.

Anyways yeah, this was sad. ; -;
  • #27

Is this just an isolated minicomic, or is there more? All I've been able to find is the "Pokemon Adventures" Manga, which is most certainly not this.

Yeah, Pokemon Adventures is better and #1 >:(

This was a sweet comic, but I guess I was too turned off by the awkward pacing and dialogue to truly get immersed enough to feel bad. It never pulled me in. The imagery of the evolutions was cool though.
  • #29

The dialogue of the evolutions could have been better-written, but the first part with the trainers was excellently done.
  • #30

It's probably a doujinshi, a fan-made comic. Fan or not, they knew what they were doing. ;_;

As for a Pokemon's death in general, it's hardly ever mentioned in game or show other than emotionally.
Maybe Pokemon aren't made of carbon and other stuff that make living things, it's been said that at least several Pokemon came from space.
Maybe when it's their time to pass on, their bodies become whatever type they were when they were alive: Water becomes water, Rock turns to rock...maybe it thought that if it became one of its evolutions, it would never be able to be with Green on a physical plane.
Maybe Green picked up on this and that's why he said "Even if you don't try hard, you're the one I love the most"; it may have also meant "Even if you don't evolve, you're the one I love the most" since Eevee's are...underdeveloped when they don't evolve.
Eevee's a Normal type Pokemon, right? So what if Normal types just pass on like every other living thing?

Just a thought.

As for Pokeballs, they stop working after the occupant passes on?

I'm guessing that's supply and demand at work.

I'm guessing that dissecting and analyzing the world economy of Pokemon will lead to nowhere.

It's a thread about a pokemon fancomic on a forum for a webcomic about the romantic lives of a group of cartoon cats. Of course there's nerds here!

Actually, this is common pokemon knowledge to anyone who's played the games.

  • #38
