The shadows and colouring of the lights look really good with the watercolours, Their mothers face in the last page made me laugh as well

Her mimicry is truly worth its weight in gold, or would be if facial expressions were physical objects that could have weight. Perhaps the page could be worth its weight in diamonds, in which case the watercolours would enhance the gravity and increase value.
Oh, but I ramble.
Hayley really is entertaining here, though. I can only imagine how it must feel, stuck in the back seat. A definite kudos to the mother, however.
On that note, I really wish we knew their surname.

I'll have to admit, this is a pretty impressive use of watercolor I have ever seen, from the shading and light to the mood on this page.
Also, this night could change Mike's life forever, for better or worse.

Ah, finally, the long-awaited Mike×Sandy chapter. 
Haley's annoyance at Mike's constant mooning over Sandy is pretty hilarious (and perfectly understandable). Although in that case, maybe she should've stayed at home instead of coming along for the ride.
Mike definitely wants to make sure to get to the fashion show ahead of time. He's nervous about meeting Sandy for the first time in almost 6½ years. Sandy will put on quite the display at the fashion show, I'm sure, and that's probably what the chapter title is alluding to. Although after the show... her mother may be chaperoning her. It will be interesting to see how much of the relationship Sandy can hide from her mother, passing it off as only a friendship. Wonder if Sandy's discussed any of this with Mike so he knows what to expect ahead of time, or if he's completely unaware and thus may try to be romantic with Sandy in front of her mother.
I like Mike's face in the fourth panel.
We know that it begins with an S. That is all, Taeshi has deliberately avoided giving out full last names. ^_^

Taeshi uses the grey hues quite well. I can't do that ><... Generally I got dirty colors when I've tried it

Michael hardly feels love's keen sting. He feels the angry blunt blow from being all too nervous for his own good.
Actually, trim her cheeks a little and take off her bow, Hayley could be a passable Michael. She is likely rather too short, though - not that Sandy has seen him in full any time recently.

Yup, Haley's jealous of Mike, and wishes she had a glamorous significant other as he does. Or at least had the clothes Sandy models.
Haley definitely injects some hilarity into what's otherwise a gloomy period (for the major characters, at least). Although since she apparently left the car to give her little speech, I do wonder how Mike heard her, unless he already had his door partially open to see what the heck she was up to.
Last chapter, we got to see Paulo's marvelous facial expressions, and this chapter we're getting to see Mike's. Another nice one in the fifth panel this page. Also last chapter we had Paulo×Jordan, this chapter we have Haley×Sandy.

It wouldn't be embarrassing by dating a rich girl either, so what if there's a guard? "be cool and walk in", not like the guard will take an axe and kill him... Well, if Sandy cries, then that's different...

Can't tell if Mike had read Sandy's note before that point, or if he's just embarrassed at having the guard snerk at him being Sandy's loverboy. Either way, he just needs to take another deep breath and calm down. He'll see Sandy soon enough. Enjoy the show, Mike!

Of course there's gonna be some sort of Drama. Bittersweet Candy Bowl is just that kind of webcomic. But I don't think there's gonna be a snag in Mike and Sandy's relationship, not unless someone tries to sabotage it. The most likely culprits are:
Paulo: Actually not very likely. If he actually knew what Mike did to Lucy in December, then yeah, Paulo would probably be out to throw a monkey wrench into Mike's life right now. But Lucy refused to tell him, so he's oblivious.
Alejandro: You probably saw this coming. Alejandro's been out to completely ruin (if not end) Mike's life ever since "Confrontation". But as charismatic as he may be, he probably wouldn't be able to get away with trying to screw with a formal gathering of celebrities, and I doubt he'd be dumb enough to try it. He, Augustus, or Toby may drop by to conduct some reconnaissance, but that'd be about it.
Haley: Also not likely. Sibling rivalry aside, trying to be a moment killer would just be going too far.
Sandy's Mother: Taeshi's dropped some hints that Sandy's mom thinks Mike's not good enough for Sandy. Seeing as she'll probably be at the fashion show - and among the first to congratulate Sandy after it's over - sparks will fly if Mike and Sandy's mom cross paths.

Yes, I agree that the most likely cause of drama in Mike and Sandy's relationship would be Sandy's mother. Although strictly speaking, it's not that she thinks Mike wouldn't be good enough for Sandy, it's just that she thinks a boyfriend would only be a distraction from Sandy's focus on school and work.
