Mike sure is getting his quota of embarrassment for the day. At least he'll be meeting Sandy shortly?
Some people have complained that the recent storylines are running too slow, and others have complained that there's too much drama and not enough light-hearted moments. To which I say: the drama is necessary to the plot, but you can't throw in moments of humour (e.g. Haley or the bouncer) without slowing down the storyline even more. It's not possible to have everything, thus we should just let Taeshi tell the story as it's meant to be told.
Supposedly BCB is to wrap up sometime in 2014, although the current pace makes me wonder. ^_^

As per usual, I think people who complain about the pacing are complete idiots and shouldn't be listened to.
They can't grasp that the comic is ideally read as a whole, and the Monday-Wednesday-Friday schedule only gives the illusion that it's insanely slow, when people will be able to zoom through it quite well once the chapter is finished. People just can't get that through their heads and I'm not changing just because people are impatient. I care about pacing and the all-around product way more than that.

I recall the last time it was late due to scholarly exhaustion that the ability to comment on the current page was disabled until the next page could be posted. Was that automatic or something you guys had to do manually?

It is quite a pity. We will miss not only the rest of Bittersweet Candy Bowl, but also a potentially wonderful Christmas celebration, along with a New Year's and every commodity of the following annus. I will only be able to complete half of my school year, lose the chance to partake in my first high school reunion, and so on - I am sure the horrors are many and great to others as well.
What a splendid news to behold, then, that this is complete and utter folly.
I do feel rather sorry for Michael. He is lost in an unfamiliar world, and not too flatteringly dressed. Let us hope he gets a better look at Sandy this time, as well as some private space for them to talk. ^_^

I like Mike's memories in gray in one panel. I recognize most of them, but I don't immediately recall when Mike was wearing that poofball hat looking sad next to a punch bowl, or when Tess tied up Lucy. Is the latter when Tess forced them both to go to Acapulco?

Mike in the hat is from Chapter 28, at the christmas party Tess was throwing where he was all like bloo hoo I wish Sandy would show up, and the other one is as you said from when Tess was getting them to come to Acapulco and she told Mike she'd pay for him to visit Sandy but then Sandy was all like, "I'm in Europe." and he cried a single tear.

We've known for some time that Sandy is taller than Mike, but this is the first time he's actually made aware of that. Kinda reminds me of when I met my crush actually. Hopefully the ensuing embarrassment doesn't impede Mike and he can just spend awhile chatting with Sandy. Maybe she can get him to relax a bit with some banter?
