Oh, c'mon Meowth. :< Think about what the way Mike acted really means. He's so disbelieving about finally seeing the one he has a lot of feelings for that he had to touch her, first. It shows how overcome he is with emotion and how happy he is. That's cute, to me. ;__;

ok so.. you know, all things considered, it makes perfect sense that they started pinching each other.
I mean, last time those two were together, they were in what, elementary school? little kids are not that prone to smoochies
and after that, their relationship is prety much long-distance, so there has been no time where they were alone together to get the right atmosphere for a first kiss. and a crowded backstage of a fashion show is hardly a private, intimate place.
also, paws and whiskers are two of the most sensitive areas on a cat, IYKWIM =P

18 pages left... wonder what they'll talk about before the inevitable drama pops up? Because it'd probably be too much to ask for this chapter to pass without drama.

I actually am here for the drama! And there's definitely plenty of it in BCB. I'm just sort of sad that Mike×Sandy won't last, because out of the current relationships, those two seem to work the best together. And yet I can practically foresee that Mike's soul must somehow be crushed just as Lucy's was, because mid-December to mid-January is the period of angst and drama, and Mike is currently far too happy basking in the glow of Sandy's presence. I want Mike to stay happy with Sandy, but I know it won't happen, and so I mourn.

This page was just great, from the pacing to the interactions between the two.
Though in spite of the lightheartedness seen so far, drama will eventually take shape during the remaining 18 pages, probably about what happen during the previous chapters (and how Sandy will react to Mike's action during said chapters).

Honestly, this chapter probably doesn't even need drama to be tragic. This is only a chance meeting. He'll eventually be back to square one, waiting and hoping for his next chance to meet Sandy. I honestly hope nothing dramatic happens, and he squanders this chance to strengthen his relationship with Sandy.

Mike deserves to have a great fight with Sandy when she discovers all the harsh things he said to Lucy.
Even if he was right, one thing is to say "I hate you, let me alone!", and a totally different one is to say "I hate you, I'm going to leave you alone and take with me all your friends, and let you to suffer in your despair!".
Even if he arranges things with Sandy again, he deserves to have som counter-karma effects from what he did to Lucy.
And I will clap when it happens.

Sandy thinks Lucy is horrible, though. Sandy only has the image of her as that violent girl who bothers and throws herself at and throws quite blunt instruments at her boyfriend. She would be highly unlikely to yell at him for telling off someone like that.

I'm tempted to believe that even the fact that Sandy dislikes Lucy doesn't assure that Sandy will agree with the level of retribution Mike gave for Lucy's antics. Sandy's nice enough that it doesn't seem likely that she'd agree for such harsh treatment.
... Even then, though, how would Sandy find out about how exactly how Mike treated Lucy? At this point, Sandy would only find it out from Mike's perspective--and it's not like he'd tell her exactly how harsh it was... probably just that he ended it with her. And it's not even likely that she'd ask about it at this point.
But if all Sandy found out was that Mike broke off his friendship with Lucy, then she'd just agree with him. Which in Mike's eyes would just reinforce that what he did to Lucy (details aside) was right. Either way, Sandy finding out is likely to be bad for Lucy, not Mike.

I think you're missing my point: it's not about whether Mike did the right thing or not. It's about whether Sandy agrees that what he did was right (obviously, she agrees with him ending the friendship, but maybe not how he plans to go about finalizing it). And considering how she seems to disagree with acting harsh in the first place (otherwise she wouldn't have a reason to dislike Lucy), she wouldn't really agree with Mike's M.O. for getting rid of Lucy.
But it doesn't matter since she isn't likely to hear that much detail.

Lucy wouldn't even matter. She is beyond irrelevant right now. Sandy was the only one who could look at the situation rationally. Of course she'd understand him breaking off their friendship because she was the one who noticed how he'd come home with cuts and bruises and shit. She doesn't have any delusion about what Lucy was so it's doubtful she'd give two shits or a flying fuck about whatever he said to get her out of his life for good.

But the way he's going about doing it is leaving her not only without the friendship between him and her, but also taking all of his friends with him, leaving her all alone. Are you saying that Sandy would condone that part of the action? Or that her view is parochial enough that it only matters that her dear Maishul feels, regardless of the collateral damage?

She drove him off with her shitty attitude, so people more closely associated with him will leave too when he does. He knows they'll make their own decisions, but it's still a clear possibility. They both know she's not going to be alone. She's not utterly without her own friends. And she put that card on the table the moment that she implied he'd be the one left alone. Whatever came next, she had coming.
Lucy brought it up, not him. Sandy's not going to care how he turned the conversation on an obviously coercive bitch move like that.
