At the moment, I think the main source of drama will be Michael's nervousness. He is terribly frightened and will probably be too affected by this to fully enjoy this meeting. She will probably notice this. However, this being backstage, others are more than likely to be present.

Then again, trouble is likely to arrive in other forms. For the time being, though, I am prepared to accept that they will meet without anything like Unrequited happening again.

I was worried about coming to the website after finishing my breakfast out of fear that my stomach, once filled with bacon and eggs and beans, would be unable to handle the drama and excitement of today's page. So in that respect I guess I was pretty lucky. :O

What the hell is Mike looking around for in the new page? The show hasn’t started yet. Is he expecting someone or something? Haley and his mom aren’t joining him. Is he concerned that he’s the only kid there? I think I'd be. But why does he looked upset? Shouldn't he be...I don't know? Happy? Sandy said to meet her AFTER the show! I assume he’s pulling out his phone to text her. Or someone texted him or is calling him.

Ugh...it's building up the suspense. I know.

I think Mike's going to text Sandy, like NSSG said; he's probably pulling his phone out of that pocket. Which probably wouldn't be a good idea, actually, considering Sandy's probably getting ready for the show right now. He might be looking around because, you know, people aren't really supposed to pull out cell phones in a theater (this is a theater, right?).

Either that or he's pulling out some sort of note from Sandy. Maybe she left him another with some details about the show? I suppose he'd be looking around to prevent the kind of fiasco that happened last page. On the other hand, maybe Sandy is texting or calling him for good luck? The page doesn't really give any clues.

Anyway, those are my guesses. :smirk:

I really have no idea why Mike should have that expression in the second-to-last panel. It's understandable that he'd feel a bit uncomfortable and out of place because he doesn't fit into the fashion show scene, but I'd still expect him to be excited about seeing Sandy rather than a little upset. Maybe he's just not sure if he should be backstage already. It does seem as if he's reaching for his phone to text Sandy and ask for further details. Wonder if any of the security guards will think he's trying to take pictures of the models, and boot him out?

People don't hate Sandy because they don't really know anything about her. They're prejudiced against her for helping Mike stand up for himself. These are the same people that buy into tsundere bullshit and, none of them having ever had an actual relationship, they do not realize what dealing with a rancid cunt like that can do to you.

At first I thought Mike and Sandy might find that they were no longer the same people they were 6½ years ago, and so the relationship might break up for that reason. However, they have been in regular communication for a while now, which was further helped by Mike getting an iPhone. They've exchanged pictures and talked to each other and stuff, so it's entirely possible they have a genuine bond now, despite it being a long-distance relationship. Hence the reason why I now think the most likely thing to get in their way is Sandy's mother.
