I seriously thought Taeshi was gonna go for the Star Wars line. Speaking of which, Yashy's misery is wonderful. I have hated her since the beginning of the comic...
But in all seriousness, the truth came out in the worst way possible. It sucks.

Now will she get over this or become inconsolable.
or what if she commited suicide. That would be a blow to Lucy... though its unlikely that will happen.

The next time she confronts Mike, the situation will be anything but friendly.

Also, the number of people who spell Yashy's name as 'Yashi' makes me wonder if I missed a running joke somewhere. Anyway, that's not the right spelling, so stop it already.

I keep forgetting that the thing has a gender. I was thoroughly convinced that Yashy was an it. Kind of like furniture in the background.

No one's gonna stay the same in this comic, I don't think. Everyone will be affected in some manner.

Nope I don't works like that, temperanment (Different from personality) comes when the baby is born and you can say that temperament is a "mix" of both mother and father temperament, is several studies psychologists have agree in that there are 3 basic kinds of temperament; good, difficult and lethargic. To summarize Good are kids that show possitive responses of medium and low intensity during social stimulation, medium or low negative responses to harmful stimulation, a regular sleeping and eating horary, they are prone to make healthy attachment relationships (balanced with independency). In the other hand "difficult" temperament is the exact opposite... I don't need to explain more.
Temperament DON'T decides the development of each individual personality has enviroment, genes and individual cognitive self-appreciation (who do you think you are). Difficult and Lethargic temperament work has a "handicap" for people born with this kind of temperament, if their emotional intelligence is mature enough to deal with high emotiona stress they will probably live on things like Lucy romantic problems, but their temperament makes them way more "emotional" with this I mean that people with these kind of temperament, regardless of they personality feel "sadness" (for examples) way stronger than a person with "good" temperament.
TL;DR: Lucy has a "difficult" temperament that makes her more difficult to move on her problems but she does lack the emotional intelligence and determination to move on, Michael has a either a difficult or lethargic temperament which provokes really strong emotional responses to any stimulation.

Yashy is influence by Lucy's behavior regardless of what temperament either of them have, all people are affected by their environments, especially their parents though whether it is a positive or negative effect depends on the situation. Yashy is short-tempered and brutally honest, just like Lucy and while we can't be sure that's why she is also so "spunky", it has obviously had an effect on her. In the case of Abbey he too handles situations eerily like his father, but at the same time trying to be decidedly NOT like his father makes him such a vigilant against bullying. Of course since he does handle these situations radically and with violence makes him a total hypocrite but that's besides the point which is that they have been heavenly influence by their parents.
You're trying to argue nature vs. nurture with me and leaning a lot nature side and trying to exclude that children develop at least in part to how their guardians behave. It is simple intimation, something that someone as young as Yashy would obviously do to try and be like her mother. And it was a joke mostly at the expense of Abbey cause I know how much Jerk just LOVES him.

Way to go for the Star Wars reference.
On Topic: I think Yashy's world just collapsed on itself.

When it comes to Yashy's usual personality, I would agree. However, it looks like she's in the midst of development, so it's best to see how it pans out.

Jerk: to be fairly frank a lot of the character development for some of the characters have made them more dull to me if anything, also yeah abbey has had little screen time compared to the others and thus would need more to "develop", which is kind of weird to say since in At Loose Ends he wasn't really throwing chairs or attacking people, he was as somber as Mike.
my issue with abbey honestly has always been that he's basically Mike with anger issues and more intelligent :U and i haven't used him enough to really sway him into anything else
And then you got complete character-turns like Paulo who used to be really fun, but it seems he's become more of a somber/worried/thoughtful person.. it's like all the guys are turning into Mike and Mike is delving more into being independent wow

I just feel the hate for Abbey is fair enough if you think his hotheaded double-standards whiteknighting is terrible rather than "he's a faux deep character because wahh wahh parents", I mean what would make him deep? For him to get over his daddy issues? Then you just got.. a relatively normal kid because he's shown he's very Mike-ish when he's not having issues.

I think the most interesting possibility would be the conflict and angst that would result if Mike were to become single again, and Daisy were to choose to leave Abbey to pursue Mike. However, at this point Mike is still firmly with Sandy, so there's no reason for Daisy to go and do something like that just yet.
Alternatively, Daisy could grapple with her feelings and ultimately choose to give up her dreams of Mike and bond with Abbey instead. Certainly less drama there, but that'd still be character development for her, if not so much for Abbey.

And I see that even if Abbey is a more hypocritcal Mike at least he is seeking help from a therapist and trying to be better, which at this point is a bit more than we can say for Lucy, she's getting there but not quite. Thought if she just woke up one day and was like "Welp I'm done being depressed gonna go get some self respect derp derp" that would be pretty annoying.

That said currently I think the relationship works well for them *at the moment*, because Abbey needs someone to support him, and Daisy craves love and attention, and for that she is happy to give all that she can in return. They make each other happy and that's what matters, I think deep down Daisy isn't as in love with Abbey as she wants to believe, but they are both what each other need right now, so may as well enjoy it while it lasts!
As for Abbey generally, I don't dislike him, but it WOULD be nice to see Abbey be something other than moody or brooding, I recall quite early on he can have a certain level of respect and courtesy towards girls + heightened level of sense about situations going on. Though most of that persona seemed to fly out the window after the Daisy arc. I understand he's tied down to one girl now, but it would be interesting to see what he makes of the Lucy and Mike situation.

You're going to have to run that Molly part with me again, because I'm not sure how she could be any bit relevant without Abbey (Justin, maybe?), who also really wouldn't validate his place without his relationship with Daisy or Augustus.
Also, just to point out, Abbey has seen more character development than Daisy recently. Daisy's static personality is a foil to Lucy's, which just makes her character even less interesting than Abbey's self-indulgent white-knight characterization.
