Tin tin and smurfs were awesome books and the TV adaptation for tin tin was great, too. I didn't much like the TV adaptation for the smurfs, though.

The Simpsons will soon be cancelled.

The thing is that all good things must come to an end, that applies to cartoons. If a good cartoon arises and it doesn't get canceled for a long time it eventually turns into crap...
i.e.
The Simpsons
Family Guy
Spongebob Squarepants
Fairly OddParents
etc, etc...
The old episodes were fantastic, but the new ones are crap.

Duck Dodgers was a pretty good show. The martians were trying to destroy the world with jazz so Duck Dodgers got Megadeth to fight them.

Got any cartoons you enjoy as a child? What about the ones that are currently airing? More importantly, why do you love them to begin with?
So far, the ones I enjoy watching are:
Adventure Time-Who would ever thought that 3 years ago, this cartoon short that appeared on the internet would manage to last 4 seasons later, along with several fan-arts and several merchandises (or becoming Cartoon Network's biggest hit). I really enjoy the humor it brings, in addition to the characters and the story itself.
Regular Show-Like Adventure Time, Regular Show also show up on the internet, garnering a lot of interest to be given its own show, achieving similar results when it made its debut in 2010. Its surreal humor was quite a change, even if they can be unexpectedly adult at times, but that's what got me hook up to begin with.
The Legend of Korra-Unlike most spin offs/ sequels of TV shows out there, the Legend of Korra, a direct sequel to Avatar: The Last Airbender, manages to stay true to its predecessor's roots and at the same time sets itself apart to be its own series. So far, its the only Nick show I personally enjoy watching.
Young Justice-With a strong story line, a good cast and developments in characters and plots, Young Justice manages to keep up with unexpected surprises from one episode to the next, as well as some great action sequences for some good entertainment.

one of my favorite all time cartoons when i was younger was Codename: Kids Next Door. The action, gunfights, humor, and references from the show were entertaining. It inspired me a lot, and will forever hold a place in my heart.

Boy, the nostalgia just comes back in waves here! I can't believe people remember all these shows! I'd like to add to this treasure trove here with an obscure little anime called Shinzo (known as Mushrambo in Japan).

Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends was a good one. Also, whoever mentioned Shinzo, you rock aaa I was actually planning on cosplaying Mushra soon! I love his orange armor and diadem thing. =p WITCH was a good show. I loved the art and plot. Now the artist is working on semi porn(Skydoll), which I admit I highly enjoy.
